North of the noise and saturated color of the Quarter is a New Orleans neighborhood that’s perfected the art of living. “Welcome to Mid-City,” read the signs on the neutral ground. And that’s truth in advertising. It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a total stranger may buy you a drink at an Irish pub or a cannoli at an Italian bakery. Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. Buttermilk biscuits. Live music. A bowl of Vietnamese pho. Who wouldn’t want to visit? Eat. Drink. Get up here.

Mid-City has a rhythm all its own - second lines drift through the neighborhood, the streetcar hums along Canal Street, and front porches fill with conversation as the evening cools. This five-bedroom home drops you right into that world, with enough space for the whole crew to spread out, unwind, and make the most of New Orleans.
 
Living space
Natural light moves through the rooms throughout the day, and the living area gives everyone a place to land. Smart TVs with Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, HBO Max, Hulu, Netflix, and Roku keep the entertainment options open, whether you're winding down after a long day on Bourbon Street or settling in for a slow morning. Fast Wi-Fi and a dedicated workspace in a common area mean those who need to stay connected can do so without sacrificing comfort.
 
Sleeping arrangements
Five bedrooms sleep up to 10 guests across 6 beds, each room fitted with room-darkening shades so late risers can actually sleep in. Essentials are all provided - bed linens, towels, hangers, and clothing storage - so you can pack light and settle in fast.
 
Kitchen & dining
The kitchen is set up for real cooking. A Frigidaire stainless steel electric stove and oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, and microwave cover the full range of meal prep. Cooking basics - pots, pans, oil, salt and pepper - are stocked, along with dishes, silverware, a toaster, baking sheet, and a drip coffee maker with coffee ready to go. Pull up to the dining table and eat together rather than hunting down a restaurant every meal.
 
Bathrooms
Three full bathrooms keep mornings from becoming a bottleneck. Each is stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body soap, shower gel, and hot water on demand. A bathtub, hair dryer, and cleaning products are also available.
 
Outdoor living
The fully fenced private backyard is one of the home's best features. Gather around the fire pit as the night cools down, run a game of cornhole, or fire up the private gas BBQ grill for an al fresco dinner at the outdoor dining area. The private patio and outdoor furniture give you a comfortable place to sit with a coffee in the morning or a drink in the evening. Free driveway parking for up to three cars is included on-site, with additional free street parking nearby.
 
Family-friendly extras
Traveling with little ones? A pack 'n play/travel crib and standalone high chair with food tray are both available upon request, with sheets provided for the crib. Babysitter recommendations can also be arranged if needed.
 
Convenience
In-unit washer and dryer, central air conditioning, central heating, ceiling fans, and an iron and ironing board cover the practical side of a longer stay. Long-term stays (28 days or more) are welcome. Self check-in via smart lock means no coordination required on arrival. Cleaning is available during your stay if needed.
 
Location
The home sits in Mid-City with the Canal Street streetcar just steps away - a straight shot to the French Quarter, Bourbon Street, and beyond. Trader Joe's and the Lafitte Greenway are close by for groceries and a morning walk. The Superdome is 0.7 miles from the door, making this a natural base for game days, Jazz Fest, and any event drawing crowds to the city.
