Welcome to one of the best spots to start your New Orleans adventure! Located directly behind the historic Saenger Theater, our building is on the northern border of the French Quarter, less than a block from Canal Street. We`re three blocks from Bourbon Street; less than a mile from Jackson Square, Café Du Monde, and the River Walk; and a 15-minute walk to the Superdome & Smoothie King Center. There`s also a streetcar stop at the end of the block for easy access to other parts of the city!
Step inside The Schaeffer, located in New Orleansâ historic French Quarter. Blending classic NOLA charm with contemporary design, the space features exposed brick, warm wooden beams, and stylish dĂ©cor.
Guests love the rooftop terrace with outdoor pool (open 8AM to 8PM), offering skyline views with just a short elevator ride. Our location truly canât be beat! Located in the heart of the city, youâll be steps away from countless restaurants, bars, cultural landmarks, and the best the Crescent City has to offer. Weâre also about a block away from several streetcar stops, a perfect way to get around the city without worrying about bringing a vehicle and parking!
With thoughtful amenities and an unbeatable location right next door to the Saenger Theatre, this is the perfect home base for exploring The Big Easy! The Dovetail Bar is located in the lobby, offering coffees and pastries in the mornings and the perfect place for a nightcap or a quick drink before a night out on the town.
Our apartment features two bedrooms, one with an ensuite bathroom, while the other bedroom has access to the common bathroom in the unit`s hallway. There is also a bonus room with sofa couch available. All apartments have a full kitchen with a washer/dryer, microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator, oven, and dishwasher. There are no closets or dressers in the rooms, but there are wall hooks and hangers in each of them for storing your clothing (see photos for more details).
Our rooftop terrace features lounge chairs and a small pool. The pool is not suitable for swimming, itâs set up as a place to sit and soak and enjoy city views. THE POOL IS NOT HEATED, so it will not be suitable for use during the cooler months. We provide pool towels for guests to use.

There is NO FREE PARKING nearby or onsite. You can sometimes find paid street parking in the area, though it is limited to two hours during the day, but free from 8PM to 8AM and on Sundays. There is a paid parking garage across the street, which is usually $30-$40/day, though rates may vary.
Our property is located in the heart of the city, on the edge of the French Quarter and just behind Canal Street. The area around the hotel is LOUD on busy nights, with the sounds of people and vehicles heard inside the building, especially on weekends. We provide sound machines in each of the bedrooms to counteract this, but the sounds of the city are an inevitable part of our location.
Our building is a historic property, and features its original wood floors, which creak. You WILL be able to hear your neighbors as they walk around, though we do enforce quiet hours from 9PM to 7AM and have noise sensors in each of the apartments to monitor for excessive volume. Please be respectful of your neighbors. ABSOLUTELY NO PARTIES will be tolerated, and any violations will result in termination of your reservation without a refund.
There is no smoking or vaping on the property whatsoever. This includes inside the rooms and building, as well as on the rooftop terrace and the pool. Violations will result in a $500 cleaning fee and termination of your reservation without a refund. Weâre VERY SERIOUS about this.
We unfortunately cannot offer luggage storage before or after your stay due to space limitations, but we recommend using Bounce, a luggage storage service, for any needs you may have. There are a handful of locations 2-4 blocks from the building, and pricing and hours vary by location.
We do not offer daily housekeeping in the rooms. Cleanings are only performed before and after a stay. You can use the washer and dryer in your room to refresh any towels or linens as needed - we provide detergent pods.
