Welcome to The Hideaway on Lake Dunlap!
The perfect lake getaway for large groups or families! The expansive outdoor entertainment space includes a game room, plunge pool, kitchen with griddle/grill, BBQ pit, fire pit, plenty of outdoor seating, speakers and a triple level deck. This is the ideal vacation rental for outdoor entertaining! This spacious 3,000+ square foot home can comfortably accommodate up to 20 guests with 6 bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms. Come experience true lake living!

Upon entry, you are greeted by the large, open concept living, dining and kitchen area. The fully stocked kitchen has a large granite island with bar seating for 4 and a beautiful solid wood dining table with seating for 6. The living room has a large L-shaped sectional and a 75` UHDTV.

::Main level - Accommodations for 10 guests

:Master Bedroom Ensuite: King bed with luxury linens and a twin-size daybed with a twin-size trundle underneath. The large master bedroom windows allow for beautiful lake views and lots of natural light. Window treatments throughout the bedroom allow for added privacy and light filtering if needed. The master bathroom has a double vanity, walk-in shower and sunken tub. There is a washer & dryer conveniently located in the master closet.

:3 Queen Bedrooms
There are 3 queen bedrooms located on the main level of the home.
These bedrooms share a large full-size bathroom and have direct access to the upper level deck of the home. There are 2 custom built picnic tables with oversized umbrellas and seating for 8 on the upper deck.

There is an additional full-size bathroom conveniently located just off the living room with a stand-up shower.

::Lower Level - Accommodations for 10 guests

:Bunk Room: The bunk room has 3 twin size bunk beds that can accommodate 6 guests.

The lower level has a formal sitting area, dining seating for 6, a large full-size refrigerator, an additional washer & dryer, a large full-size bathroom with a double vanity, large, tiled walk in shower with bench seating and direct pool access.

There is no shortage of outdoor seating at The Hideaway on Lake Dunlap. Chaise lounges around the pool, swim up bar seating and Adirondack chairs throughout the outdoor deck space. There is an open bar with bar seating for 3 and plenty of counter space to stir up your favorite beverages! The cooks in your group will love the lake views while cooking on the outdoor griddle and BBQ pit.

The garage has been converted into a game room to be enjoyed by all! Challenge your friends to a game of darts, ring toss or ping pong! Keep the garage doors open to allow easy access to the outdoor seating area complete with 2 couches, 2 lounge chairs, dining table for 6 and a 50` UHDTV. The speaker system allows guests to listen to their favorite tunes while enjoying the fun outdoor space!

The spacious and beautifully decorated house is perfect for families or groups looking for a comfortable and luxurious vacation. With multiple bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a cozy living area, this home offers plenty of space for relaxation and quality time with loved ones. Outdoor amenities include a large backyard for playing and lounging, a BBQ grill for cooking delicious meals, and a patio area for dining al fresco. Located in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood, guests can enjoy a peaceful retreat while being just a short drive away from popular tourist attractions and activities. During summer months, we will not be able to accommodate early check-ins. Late check-outs are dependent upon availability and an additional $50/hourly charge will be incurred.

Transportation dependent on availability so ample time is greatly appreciated.

The house worked perfectly for us except for the bathrooms. The shower in the master bath was too high of a step to make it safe to step in. We all had to use one shower on the main level. Everything else was great!

Location: right on the lake which was awesome, “only” 4 or so miles from New Braunfels (but ends up being about 15 mins each way). Most of the restaurants, grocery stores, etc are in NB so plan on a drive. The water level was about 2-3 feet below the dock, which made getting rafts, etc in/out a bit more difficult. Amenities: the house was well stocked with towels, cooking supplies, basic spices. There was a canoe that we didn’t use because we weren’t sure we could get it back on the dock, and a raft with life jackets that we did use. TVs inside and out. Tons of beds/bedrooms/bathrooms. Cons: the management company needs to proactively go through the house and fix things. There was no pack n play even though I confirmed one, but Darren went and bought one and delivered it within a few hours. The upstairs AC stopped working, and Darren had a maintenance guy and an AC guy out within hours (the condenser needs to be replaced as it still struggled to cool below 75). The upstairs dryer stopped drying clothes, maybe there’s quite a bit of lint in the system that likely needs to be cleaned out. Fortunately, there is another washer and dryer downstairs. The drain plug for the nice big bathtub is stripped so the tub did not hold water well. You have to manually open the microwave as the button doesn’t work to open it.All in all, we had a good stay, but for the price point, we expected everything to be functioning, and we should’ve checked how far it was from town time-wise.

Fun, family vacation

We stayed here with one other family and our adult children. We enjoyed the home. The pool was a nice escape and the ping pong and corn hole boards were fun. The house was big enough for everyone to escape for their own retreat, or all come together. We just wish we would have known to bring soap and shampoo/conditioner. This is the first VRBO we have stayed in that didn't provide at least something for the shower. Other than that, we loved the home.

Fun family place with a few kinks

We (family of 13 adults) enjoyed the layout, the decor, the well stocked kitchen, and the pool/deck. The house needed additional cleaning when we got there for spider webs inside and the garage floor which was covered in mouse droppings. The property manager did respond to that issue. The house suffers from a drainage problem which made the dishwasher inoperable and is causing damage to the downstairs flooring. We had an A/C and an appliance repairman come during the five day stay. The A/C was adequate but just (neither issue was resolved). Hopefully, those issues will get ironed out, the dead trees on adjacent properties will be removed, and the lake will refill soon.
