We had a great stay at the National 9. The lady at the check in desk was very friendly. The hotel is a little run down but it was clean. It was just what we needed for a quick stop. The breakfast was good. Cereal, toast, juices, waffles, and fruit.
Other than we ran out of toiletpaper and kleenex and that there was no hair dryer and the internet didnt work (room12) and the toilet was unstable, it was great. The shower head was awesom!
Overall the hotel was run down. The beds were worn out and need to be replaced. Given the option again, I would have slept in my car over booking another stay.
Overall it was good. The owner was helpful for requests, and dependable. The rooms are spacious, safe, and clean. Its located right by the freeway entrance, and near several restaurants, and a Tesla charging station. There is no pool.
It seems to be an older building. Which is ok for the price.
It should have clothes hooks in the Bath area.
The breakfast offerings were a little sparce.
The room was clean and comfortable.
The A/C unit doesn't bring in air well from outside, and the CO2 in the room went high, made the room feel super stuffy and contributed to my congestion until I left a window open and was treated to the sound of I-15 roaring by.
There is poor insulation: the footsteps of the person in the room above me woke me up at 5am even though I was dead tired.
This is definitely a motel; I guess if you know what you're in for it's ok. I was hoping for more.
BTW, As the screenshot makes clear, it's not clear whether two stars is "fair" or "poor". That's Orbitz's fault, but helped me feel better about giving two stars.
Room was very basic, but clean. The refrigerator was broken and barely colder than room temperature despite being on the coldest setting. The shower was able to be set to custom temperature, however, would go either extreme hot or extremely cold for no reason (assuming maybe the neighbors flushed the toilet or also used the shower?). The man at the front desk was nice enough, but very difficult to understand as he had a very thick accent. When getting ice, you enter a small room full of random items, including yard tools and such, to find a broken ice maker. When my fiance went to the front desk to get ice, the man at the desk seemed put out.
