Situé à 31 minutes à l'ouest de Saint- Ignace (Mackinaw) vous baissez le lecteur d'enroulement, et l'expérience le calme d'North Country du Michigan à son meilleur. Ce joyau, jusqu'à un escalier, est isolée, privée, et spacieux. Niché dans les arbres sur 3+ hectares avec plus de 250 '+ de plage privée sur la pétillante rive nord du lac Michigan.

Les forĂȘts nationales et d'Etat Ă  l'Est fournissent un habitat prospĂšre pour pygargues Ă  tĂȘte blanche, Sand Hill Grues et le cerf qui errent devant votre fenĂȘtre que vous profitez de la vue spectaculaire sur le lac. Installez-vous pour le soir par un feu de foyer et d'Ă©couter les sons doux clapotis du lac Michigan Ă  la cĂŽte, mais ne vous endormez pas jusqu'Ă  ce que vous avez pris dans les Ă©toiles Ă  travers les six feux de ciel au-dessus.

Dans une heure de route, vous pouvez visiter les phares, les chutes d'eau, et les forts historiques. Sault St Marie (Soo Locks), Mackinaw City (magasins, théùtres, fort, et le nouveau parc aquatique), Saint- Ignace (jeu, le shopping et les musées), l'ßle de Mackinac, Lac Supérieur (Whitefish Point Lighthouse, Tahquamenon Falls, une heure au nord) sont les faits saillants qui feront de votre voyage mémorable. Promenez-vous le long des routes de l'arriĂšre-pays et peut-ĂȘtre vous apercevoir ours, l'orignal, loup, chevreuil, pygargues Ă  tĂȘte blanche, et de nombreuses petites crĂ©atures. Il ya des miles de sentiers Ă  explorer Ă  pied, Ă  cheval motoneige ou VTT Ă  quatre roues. Si les intĂ©rĂȘts de pĂȘche vous, certains des plus beaux Steelhead et la truite mouchetĂ©e flux pĂȘche Ă  la mouche ne importe oĂč (nous soutenons «catch-and-release '... ou« propre-sur-la-riviĂšre »...).

Seulement quatre miles Ă  l'est sont deux restaurants et Ă  l'ouest jouissent du petit village de pĂȘcheurs d'oĂč Naubinway frais Whitefish est pris / vendu quotidienne. Si vous ne avez pas connu, le monde cĂ©lĂšbre «U. P. Pastie ', arrĂȘter par l'une des boutiques de bord de la route qui font la publicitĂ© ... Vous ĂȘtes sĂ»r de tomber en amour avec cette nouveautĂ© Northern Michigan. Épicerie, gaz, et antiquaires sont facilement disponibles dans un court trajet en voiture.

Les amateurs d'hiver peuvent profiter de la motoneige Ă  la porte pour indiquer terres ou le long de la rive du lac Hog Island Road et des sentiers partout, mĂȘme Ă  la frontiĂšre avec le Wisconsin. Raquettes Ă  neige sont disponibles pour un maximum de quatre personnes.

Amazing location!

I loved staying at the cedar loft. I went for a solo trip and really enjoyed the beach and forest and serenity of the place, especially the day when no one else had booked the neigboring spot and I had the whole beach to myself. The loft had everything I needed and had amazing views of the lake even from the bed. Would recommend.

Family Vacation

Central spot to take in all the sites of the Eastern UP. Great beach. Kayaks were used multiple times daily. Great chairs and fire pit to watch the sunset. Overall great stay.

Peaceful and Private

Cedar Loft was the perfect place for our UP getaway. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the loft, the privacy of the beach, and the overall relaxation this place provided. The loft was equipped was all that we needed to make our stay comfortable. We had the beach to ourselves and we enjoyed the clear water, the loft was very near to the lake and it was amazing falling asleep listening to the waves. Dianne's hospitality was amazing, she went above and beyond when it came to making sure we had what we needed and making suggestions of things to do in the area and places to eat. I highly recommend staying at Cedar Loft, you won't be disappointed!

Wonderful stay

The first thing I must say is to ignore any negativity of past reviews. This is a beautiful property. Nikki thought of everything!! The amenities were above and beyond. Wifi, TV, supplies if you happened to forget something and laundry facilities (BONUS). The loft is clean and oh so cozy!!! It's just steps to the beach. There are even Adirondack chairs on the beach for your use. We totally loved our stay. Thank you again, Nikki!!!!

perfect for couples or a small family

The cabin was very clean and very beautiful. It is situated on the lakeshore along scenic route US-2.My husband and I stayed there for 3 nights. It has a private beach just feets away from the cabin. We forgot our umbrella and it was raining outside, Dianne was gracious and provided us with an umbrella without us asking. The photos on the website don't do justice. Its much more lively than in the pictures. Dianne suggested local restaurants and places to go to and each one was a memorable experience. I would definitely recommend this cabin to everyone. Hoping to come back again soon.

No Air Conditioning!.. But Great if Not Too Hot Outside!...

Beautiful semi private beach.. most private beach I have ever been on.. Cedar Loft was nice but needs TLC.. That said.. overall.. the place is "enchanting".. which is a word seldom used or called for in our fast paced world.. Front view needs cleaned up and opened up so you can see the lake and beach!!.. But again.. being so close to and on the beach.. so to speak.. we got over the drawbacks quickly and had a wonderful time...

Nice secluded area for relaxing

We rented both the Cedar loft and lodge for our family reunion. The Loft was a nice addition of space, convenient next to the Lodge. Comfy area, extra frig space and bathroom a plus. Proximity to beach was excellent and easy to get to. Nice setup with chairs on the beach. Note water level was very shallow so not much room for swimming but great for relaxing. Downsides were 2 doors for entry not marked so had trouble getting in at first. Water is not filtered so brushing teeth and showering not very pleasant. Just prepare with bottled water. Host was wonderful and communicated regularly on questions. Would recommend for future stays!

A little piece of heaven!

My husband and I stayed there last September and are now trying to figure out a time when we can return this summer. It was one of the most peaceful little vacations we have ever had. Every amenity, right down to a welcome loaf of raisin bread, was provided. The bed sits by the window overlooking the lake and is extremely comfortable - and I'm quite picky. It is completely private, with an owner who respects that very much, but can be as welcoming as an old friend. They told us where to go to get fresh whitefish to prepare for dinner. It has always been a favorite of ours, but we had no idea what a difference FRESH makes. The beach is spectacular and you can walk out for quite a ways. We were lucky enough to watch a storm come in - it was amazing. Hope to see you soon, Dianne!

Just a few surprises

I was so pleased with the decision to base our stay at Cedar Loft. The Loft was clean except for finding pepperoni and a sub crust under the sofa. The bed was very comfortable but the standard fitted sheet kept popping off...16" corners will help. I had planned on meeting the owner and her partner who were to be residing in the main house, but found when we arrived to the Loft, she had sold the Loft along with the main house. The main house was then available to rent and had 3 different "groups" of people staying there during our week stay. All were nice people, however, much busier than expected with kids and multiple adults. I adjusted to not having a TV, going without national news was a blessing in disguise..thank you for the reduction in a night's rent. Overall, I still would rate Cedar Loft a 5 star...Very Nice location.

We had a wonderful vacati...

We had a wonderful vacation at this loft. It is the perfect size for a small family or couple. While it is a loft, the space is smartly decorated to create three separate rooms: kitchen, living room and bedroom. The bathroom is separate. This loft has lots of room; my husband, son and I never felt crowded. The kitchen has everything you need, the furniture is comfortable including the bed. The walk to the beach couldn't be easier. NO stairs, No bluff, just a short walk with a slight incline going back. It's very private too. The beach is sandy with few rocks and several sand bars. My 5-year-old son had a blast on the beach and in the water. Chairs for the beach and around the firepit are provided. Even firewood is provided. The only things we needed to bring were beach towels and food. The owner was very accomodating. The kitchen had a fresh arrangement of garden flowers and a freshly baked loaf of bread waiting for us. The loft is in the perfect location allowing us to sight-see for part of the day and then return to play in the sun and sand the rest of the day. We look forward to our next vacation at this loft. It truely was a restful and fun vacation.

Two wonderful weeks at Cedar Loft

My wife and I spent two wonderful weeks at Cedar Loft in June. The place is beautiful and charming. Clean, neat and well appointed. As other guests indicated, the photos, even done professionally, do not give it the full credit it deserves. The large open space is full of air but not intimidating as it is clever broken down into different areas: kitchen, living and bedroom. Warm colors of walls and ceiling wood make it very special. So, when for few days the weather not inviting to go outside, we enjoyed our relaxing time inside. The place is filled with all imaginable magazines, booklets and maps with information about the area. The sandy beach is just yards away. There are chairs on beach and a around the fire pit, which is “stocked” with plenty of seasoned firewood. We were initially concerned that being right next to the owner might limit our privacy. On the contrary, Dianne’s help and advices and tips were offered when we needed them and we felt very welcomed. At the same time she respected our privacy. Dianne, thank you very much for helping us to make this vacation one of the best we ever had. We are looking forward for coming again. Barbara and Jacob

Beautiful Loft

Our family of 3 has a great winter getaway at the loft. The space is light, clean, well stocked and has a spectacular view. The host, Nikki, very quickly resolved an issue with the water pressure, communicating with us the whole time. The location is perfect if you want a very secluded vacation; it’s at least 30 minutes away from a major grocery and most of the UP sights, so just plan accordingly. We all highly recommend this loft!

A wonderful stay

We stayed 3 days to Cedar Loft and it was super nice! The localisation is perfect at 2 m of the lake and the beach. The loft have a lot of ustensile for cooking and having a good time at home :)

Comfort and Relaxing

We had a great stay. Explored the UP daily along with a scenic drive up the Lake Superior coast in Canada, and enjoyed coming back to our rental every night. It was well stocked for cooking our dinners and a comfortable relaxing place to spend our evenings and mornings.

Amazing Place to Stay

Though we only stayed for 3 nights, we loved the property and the location. The local food was amazing as well! The ability to use the provided kayaks and watch the sunset on Lake Michigan was something to remember. We are already discussing the idea of coming back!
