Great location and well-equipped for a longer stay.The property is in a very convenient location, close to amenities and easy to access. Parking was straightforward and more than adequate for my vehicle.The kitchen was well stocked. The coffee setup and other kitchen essentials were especially appreciated during my extended stay. The bathroom and shower were very clean, and there were plenty of towels provided. The laundry was convenient and worked well. The TV setup was excellent, with access to Netflix, Prime, and YouTube, which was a nice bonus in the evenings.The view is beautiful, and the deck looks like a lovely space to enjoy, although the weather didn’t allow me to use it much during my stay.At times, some noise from upstairs could be heard, but it was always quiet during reasonable hours and never disruptive overnight. The bed was a firmer than I’m used to, but that comes down to personal preference.Overall, this was a comfortable and well-maintained place to stay, and I would recommend it to others looking for a convenient and well-equipped rental.

The property was exactly as described. Nice and clean and all the essentials in the kitchen. The hosts were very responsive to questions and everything was clearly communicated (from the check-in process to labelling of the various garbage and recycling bins). Highly recommend.

Great Location! Stayed for a short visit with family, provided just the right about of amenities and comfort. Friendly owner, and was able to assist quickly. Unique Halloween theme made it fun, and I will definitely be booking again, way better than staying overnight with your parents.

Amazing place. Fully equipped kitchen, clean, very comfortable, quiet and beautiful view of the lake. Affordable and close to shops and amenities. Great communication with owners. 15 mins to downtown Nanaimo. No surprises, was as advertised.

Short Stay in Nanaimo

Beautiful property location that was super convenient for our event. Everything we needed was there. The pullout couch mattress did not inflate so was not useable. The property is to host 4; without the couch that made it only two. We reached out to host via vrbo site for advice on couch but did not hear back. Our daughter and her partner had driven from Victoria to join us but then went to a local hotel instead when we discovered the challenge with the pullout couch. Kitchen and bathroom clean and well stocked. While the Halloween themed decorations would have been fun in October, it seemed a bit out of place for May. Just a thought.

Its ok property but the details...

Enter the property through a lock that was very fidgety and took many attempts to get it to operate properly. The space was reasonably welcoming and inviting and had adequate kitchen and amenities however you could distinctly tell that there is no effort to allow much natural lighting to enter the space and despite being facing an open lake it is quite dark. The bed was just comfortable enough to sleep on but not when I would want to spend considerable time sleeping on and had considerable wear and tear on it and the way the bedroom was laid out I found myself bumping my toes on things constantly. During my third morning there was a leak of smelly fluid that came from what appeared to be the boiler room and I reached out to Craig immediately and I was met with the response that it would be dealt with but not much in the way of an apology or any empathy for my situation as I had to relocate to a local coffee shop to work that morning and it was a major inconvenience. I had to throw out some of my clothes as a result of the smelly fluid reaching my luggage and causing an odor that I did not want to have to deal with and was unable to return to the suite due to smell. Maybe this is a minor detail but there were dog poos all over the lawn which detracted from my overall experience of coming to a homely environment to stay presentation wise. The faucet was loose the towel rack, loose. toilet had trouble flushing. got clogged multiple times overall space could use more care

Really clean but too dark for us.

The property was clean and the kitchen was very well appointed. The property was too dark for us (but we like lots of light) - it is the bottom level of a house with windows facing only south under a large deck for the upper level sticking out several feet from the house. However the view once out on the patio (also under the deck) was lovely. We thought from the pictures in the listing that it had more light. There was not much sound barrier between the suite and upstairs - the people upstairs were not overly loud but we could hear their TV well. The skeleton bride and groom in the living room were a little creepy for us, but would be absolutely perfect for hallowe'en fans.

Great Place

The property was in a quiet location. It was easy to book and good contact with the owners. Had everything we needed. Our two year old wasn’t sure what to think of the life sized skeletons at first but he got used to them quickly and found them funny. The bed was very comfy and the patio was lovely for morning tea and breakfast. We would stay again
