Comfortably accommodating 8 guests, with 2 queens, 1 bunk bed and full size sleeper sofa, this stylishly decorated, impeccably clean, waterfront retreat thoughtfully offers many amenities of convenience for both home and beach.

Wood-look plank tile flooring throughout the open floor plan, highlight a coastal white kitchen with granite countertops and stainless-steel appliances, including refrigerator, 2-burner stovetop, microwave, convection toaster oven, dishwasher, blender, toaster, and drip coffee maker providing everything you need to enjoy delicious meals together. The main living area flows seamlessly into a cozy Carolina room, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows capturing breathtaking views of the waterfront marsh and the lush common grass area. COTTAGE POLICIES
We want your stay to be relaxing and enjoyable, so we’ve put together the following policies to ensure a smooth experience for all our guests. Please take a moment to review our guidelines before booking your stay:

Booking & Minimum Stay Requirements

• June-August: 7-night minimum stay, Saturday to Saturday only.
• September-May: 3-night minimum stay required during our off-peak season.
• October - April: Monthly “Snowbird” rental available. Contact the host for monthly rates and additional details.
• Last-Minute Bookings: Planning a last minute getaway? Don’t hesitate to reach out! We’ll do our best to accommodate you, subject to availability and minimum night stay requirements.

Check-In & Check-Out

• Check-in: After 4:00 PM
• Check-out: Before 10:00 AM

Policies & Restrictions

• Weather & Natural Events: We do not offer refunds for flooding, storms, natural disasters, or other Acts of God.
• Traveler’s Insurance: We highly recommend that all guests purchase traveler’s insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances.
• No Smoking: Smoking, electronic cigarettes, or vaping is not permitted on the property.
• No Parties/Events: No parties or events are allowed.
• Vehicles: Motorcycles, trailers, RVs, and boats are not permitted on the property.
• Maximum Occupancy: 8
• Wheelchair Accessibility: Please note, the cottage is not wheelchair accessible.

Guest Registration & Renter Requirements

• Guests must provide the final guest count prior to arrival.
• The Primary Renter must be 25 years or older and must reside on the premises for the duration of the rental agreement. The rental agreement will be terminated without refund if this condition is not met.
• Children: Children are welcome at The Salty Dog Cottage.
• No Rentals to High School Graduates/Students: The Salty Dog Cottage does not rent to high school graduates or students or to primary renters booking for high school graduates/students during High School Week or any other time throughout the year. Any reservation made under false pretenses will result in the forfeiture of payments, deposits, or rental fees, and the primary renter and guests will not be allowed to check in.

Booking Confirmation

• After your reservation is confirmed, a Vacation Rental Agreement will be sent. Please complete and return this form, along with a copy of the Primary Renter’s photo ID, within 24 hours to secure your booking.

Pet Policy

• Up to 2 dogs of any size are welcome with prior breed approval and non-refundable pet fee of $150 per dog.
• A Pet Addendum will be sent for completion, along with a request for your dog's up-to-date vaccination records.
• To keep our cottage flea-free, all dogs must be treated with flea and tick prevention (such as Advantage) at least 3 days prior to arrival.
• Breed Restrictions: While we love all dogs, please note that some breeds may not be approved due to insurance restrictions. The following breeds are not permitted: Pit Bull, American Bully, American Bulldog, Mastiff, Cane Corso, German Shepherd, Akita, Staffordshire Terrier, Chow, Malamute, Doberman Pinscher, Great Dane, Siberian Husky, Rottweiler, Presa Canario, Wolf Hybrids, or any mixed breed of these dogs. Thank you for your understanding.
• All dogs must be crated when left unattended for their safety and comfort.

Quiet Hours
• 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. To ensure a relaxing stay for everyone and to be considerate of our neighbors, we kindly ask that you keep noise to a minimum during these hours.

FINAL NOTE:

While the guesthouse and backyard amenities are exclusive for your use, we want guests to remember that this is a pet-friendly property and kindly ask that you consider whether your dog is comfortable with other dogs on the premises before making the decision to book.

We take great pride in keeping our cottage in immaculate condition and want all guests to enjoy their time here as much as we do. It goes without saying that you please treat our home as if it were your own.
