The house is built in the traditional Myconian architectural style combined with modern design and equipped with all the contemporary facilities. It is a lovely paradigm of what can happen when aesthetically fastidious owners work hand in hand with talented architects who appreciate Cycladic architecture.
The house, painted traditional white, forms a quadrangle around a delightful swimming pool. This is a prominent central feature of the villas’ main terrace and is fully stocked with comfortable sunbeds, loungers and adorned with a stone-built sunbed 10m long by 2m wide.
Since there are no other houses nearby and therefore no neighbours to be disturbed by the noise, there are speakers everywhere connected via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or Aux and a DJ mixer for uninterrupted partying.
The building effectively comprises 2 independent villas enabling parallel living in the same more or less space, while shared support services - housekeeper quarters, washing machine, ironing, storage etc. are totally isolated from the main house. The villas are linked by a master suite overlooking the sea. All bedrooms are equipped with large comfortable king size beds with 300-thread-count Egyptian cotton bedding, air conditioning, ample wardrobe space and ensuite bathrooms with rain shower heads, large fluffy white towels, and quality bath products. A newly installed massage room helps alleviate the stress caused by demanding sports available on the island or indeed by a long adventurous evening about town.
The houses can easily accommodate 16 adults in luxury and supreme comfort.
The perfect setup for enchantment. The large oval-shaped stone table under the pergola is ideal for cheerful gatherings and sharing drinks, wine, stories and food cooked in any one of the 3 fully equipped kitchens and speedily served outside.
Guests can also just lie and relax outdoors on the stone sofa. From there they can enjoy a lovely view of Lake Marathi and the valley below, studded with lots of small white houses. Or they can marvel at the night sky, gazing at the myriads of stars on a pitch-black background and truly feel the elation of having discovered paradise.
