The Space:

The self-contained cottage sits within the larger Musk Farm estate and offers guests access to the extraordinary garden realm of 15 distinct “garden rooms” - from the formal Tank Garden and Rosarium to woodland walks and trellised enclaves.



The design is quintessentially English in spirit, with touches of quiet fantasy. A central cast-iron fireplace anchors the sitting space, evoking warm afternoons spent lost in reading or conversation.



All three main rooms in the cottage boast large hexagonal windows, flooding interiors with light and framing views of gardens and sky. Doors also open to a private pebbled courtyard, complete with BBQ, secluded trellis garden and an imposing blue cedar. From here, guests can glance across the apple walk to the main Musk Farm house.



The courtyard invites quiet moments - a picnic under dappled light, early-morning coffee, or a meditative pause with the breeze and birdsong.



The kitchenette is modest but functional: small oven, hotplate, microwave, basic cooking utensils, and a Nespresso coffee pod machine.

For modern comfort: Smart TV, WiFi, heating/cooling, linen, towels and toiletries supplied.



House rules: no pets allowed, no parties or events. Smoking is prohibited.

Please always drive to the road conditions and plan ahead, it’s not unusual to encounter unsealed roads and wildlife so please drive with caution.

Guests at Musk Farm Studio enjoy complete privacy within the studio and the adjoining pebbled courtyard, which are exclusively yours throughout your stay. The property is part of the larger Musk Farm estate, which the owners occasionally occupy. Beyond your private courtyard lie the wider Musk Farm gardens, which are maintained regularly by grounds staff to ensure they remain in their renowned condition. While you may notice quiet garden upkeep from time to time, your privacy within the studio and courtyard is always respected.



IMPORTANT INFORMATION: We are now in the Fire Danger Period, which may begin as early as October and extend through to May, depending on conditions. CFA restrictions are in force, and no open flames are permitted at any time. This includes fire pits, wood-burning fireplaces, and any internal or external fires—these are strictly not allowed and form a firm house rule. All properties are equipped with safe alternative heating options for your comfort, and during this period we do not supply wood or kindling. Significant fines apply for breaching fire safety laws, so please take care and help protect yourself, our community, and this beautiful region.
