Decked Out - Newly Renovated Four-Bedroom, Two-Bath Oceanfront Beach House

2026 Notice: Decked Out has just completed a full renovation featuring new paint, updated flooring, remodeled bathrooms, a brand-new outdoor deck, a new and improved outdoor shower, and new indoor and outdoor furniture.

Decked Out (formerly Summer Breeze) is a four-bedroom, two-bath oceanfront beach house located 0.5 miles south of Garden City Pier. This dog-friendly home features a fully-equipped kitchen complete with microwave and dishwasher, and also includes washer, dryer, central heat and air conditioning, and ceiling fans. Other amenities include five TVs (cable), four DVD players, and Wi-Fi. Sleeping accommodations include two king and four double-sized beds. Outdoor amenities feature an oceanfront porch, partially covered furnished deck/sundeck, wooden walkway to beach, picnic table, grill, enclosed outdoor shower, and ample parking (some covered). Dog-friendly. Limit two dogs - 70-pound maximum weight limit if bringing one dog, 50-pound maximum weight limit per dog if bringing two. Please see dog-friendly property agreement for details. No phone. No smoking. Maximum occupancy: 12

Conveniently located close to some of the best area attractions, Garden City Beach is directly south of Surfside Beach and ends on a peninsula at the mouth of Murrells Inlet. One of the most renowned attractions in Garden City Beach is the Pier at Garden City. Other points of interest include Marlin Quay Marina and restaurants Sara J's Seafood Restaurant, Gulfstream Café, and Original Sam's Corner.

Just south of Garden City Beach is Murrells Inlet, a seaside community considered the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina" and home to some of the nation's best golf courses. Once primarily a fishing village, the town is best known for the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, a half-mile-long boardwalk overlooking a pristine salt marsh, and the many award-winning restaurants along Highway 17 Business in the central business district.

Brookgreen Gardens, a sculpture garden and wildlife preserve built on four former rice plantations, is located slightly south of the MarshWalk. It features several themed gardens with American figurative sculptures, trails through several nature reserve ecosystems, and the Lowcountry Zoo.

If you're looking for places to shop, The Market Common, Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, two Tanger shopping outlets, Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade, and many more shopping facilities are all within an easy drive from Garden City Beach.

Looking for entertainment and attractions? Take in a show at Pirates Voyage, Medieval Times, Alabama Theater, The Carolina Opry, or Legends in Concert. Then visit SkyWheel Myrtle Beach, Ripley's Aquarium, WonderWorks, Ripley's Believe It Or Not Odditorium, Hollywood Wax Museum Entertainment Center, and The Pavilion Nostalgia Park.

Other points of interest close by include the waterfront community of Georgetown, the third oldest city in South Carolina and the second largest seaport in South Carolina, and historic Conway, with its downtown Riverwalk area nestled on the banks of the Waccamaw River. Both towns include fine dining, shopping, and historic sites.

Take a day trip to Charleston to experience shopping, a harbor cruise, a city carriage tour, or a plantation tour. Charleston is only 87 miles from Garden City Beach - approximately two hours. It's a picturesque and exquisitely preserved southern city with antebellum architecture, cobblestone streets, and historical landmarks.

One night we had some loud bond fire guys and had to sleep in a bedroom on the street side, but other than that, it quieted down around 10pm.

A house that is advertised as sleeping 12 should not have only four glasses. Also the cookware was very worn out. Additionally there were many many Rusty chairs on the porch. They are stacked in the corner. It looks like storage. There's not room to use that many chairs. Porch is small, the chairs are in the way. Chair should be thrown out

But we will not make this mistake again. The dishwasher was not working all week. The bathroom door has been stuck for two years and the house was not very clean, the outdoor shower did not work properly, lower back porch light did not work. Unfortunately this made it an inconvenient vacation for eight people all week. This house could be awesome with about a $1,500 worth of maintenance. You would think when the rent is 4 to 5 thousand a week they would fix the small stuff.

Could use a good dusting

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house is in a perfect location. You can't get any closer to the beach then this. The one complaint I have is that the house was very dusty. We had to dust the ceiling fans off when we got there. There was dust hanging off of them. There was dust hanging off of all the vents and you could see dust on the walls near the vents. You could see dust at the top of the wall that separates the kitchen from the table area. I'm talking years worth of dust.The rug in one of the bedroom probably should have been cleaned - it smelled like dog pee. Honestly - if it's a pet friendly property the rugs should just be removed.I wouldn't prevent my comments from staying here - I just hope someone reads my comments and gives this house a deep cleaning.

Left side bay light is out where you park your vehicle. Be careful (in I believe its listed as room number 2) the foot board base will stub your toes and tear up your shins. Also if you like fire pit parties, seems everyone loves to set up right in-front of this house and party up until 2 am most nites, I'm assuming its because it one house over from a public access. It would be nice if there was a picnic table and some chairs downstairs to enjoy the awesome covered porch. Both trash cans were overflowing when we arrived and we contacted rental company twice and it was 5 days until they emptied them so we didn't have anywhere to put our trash. I also want to add there were NO bugs of any kind in this house.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I stayed a week at Summer Breeze. The house was spacious and the beach was right there. It was perfect for privacy and having a grandma, father and mother, son, daughter and her fiance there. We did pay for beds to be made and they weren't. We wanted to get into the house early and were told we would be called when it was ready. We were called around 3:00. The inspector was there when we arrived. There was bedding still in the dryer. The inspector said there were 1 bed that wasn't done and he said he could call someone to come and take care of it. We said we could make a bed. well it turned out that none of the beds were made. We had the clean bedding, but I had paid for the beds to be made. Anyway, other than that the only thing lacking were reclining chairs. The house had everything- grill, chairs, deck, table, etc. but we had no lounge/reclining chairs. I would recommend this house.

Good oceanfront dog beach house

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was mostly the way pictures showed it. There was a new table and chairs on the front porch Oceanside that was nice. The rug under it though is a mess and will not stay flat. Also they improved the door leading down the steps to the sand so that dogs cannot get through the slats. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, we enjoyed our stay. However the icemaker was broken and one of the six dining table chairs was missing which was unfortunate since we had six in our party and wanted to be able to eat together. The barstools are tall but we used one around the dining table and it worked kind of. Also the cleaning service was very subpar. There was dog hair, sand, and grime along all the edges of the room on the couch and even on the mattress pads. Management company needs to improve on that issue. Lastly the floor in the entire home is buckling. It was installed poorly and really needs to be ripped up and down again. My husband‘s mother has a bad knee and nearly fell a couple of times because the floor just gives away in certain places. The good part is the house is Right on the sand, has a beautiful view, and is in a nice location overall. We would stay again if the issues mention above were fixed.

One Week Vacation at the Summer Breeze

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family of six stayed at the Summer Breeze for 7 glorious days of summer vacation. The house has a deck off the back that is perfect for morning coffee, afternoon games, or evening dinners. Access to the beach is only 10-15 steps and the patio is equipped with a hose and shower to remove the sand. The accommodations were clean and well kept. We appreciated the fact that we could bring our dog as she's part of the family. If I'm being honest, the house could use a few minor cosmetic upgrades which didn't impact our vacation. I would love the opportunity to vacation there again!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Love the location; The house not so much, it is dark and gloomy on the inside and desperately needs some TLC and updating. Furniture is falling apart, beds are absolutely terrible, we have bruises on our legs because the rooms are so tight and the bedframes stick out so far. The floor in the entire house is buckled. Steps on the front and back are hazardous. Definitely not worth what we paid but unfortunately we booked this house for 2 vacations so we have to endure again because its nonrefundable. We did love the beachfront and steps away from the beach. Check in and check out was a breeze.

Reviewer Comments: Somewhat disappointing.There still are not any directions or instructions for how to access programs on the televisions in the house or in the prearrival info from the Realty Office. Cable boxes are not used any more and the HTC Max app must be accessed through Fire TV Sticks in a specific procedure at this house. None of the tv’s had been set up to do that yet this year and a password was required. Luckily we brought the instructions we were given last year (including the password) when a technician had to come to do that before we could watch any television last year. We had to perform the setup for all of the tv’s ourselves. Thankfully the password was still the same and we didn’t have to wait a couple of days before we could watch television like we did last year.“Check out” instructions were emailed to us on Friday May 3rd, the day before the start of our stay. Since we left early Friday morning for the trip, we did not see those instructions until we returned home after our stay and they were basically worthless for our stay. Why weren’t they sent out earlier than the day before our stay was to start?We were looking forward to renting bicycles and some other gear from VayKLife to enhance our stay. However, when preparing to finalize the rental, doing so became too risky. Their Terms and Conditions stated that we would be fully liable for all replacement costs if any gear was stolen, even if it was locked up with the locks provided by VayKLife. The agreement included costs for insurance but that insurance only covers damage to gear, not theft of the gear. Why doesn’t the insurance cover theft? Having to possibly pay replacement costs for any stolen gear is too much liability to take on for minimal use of gear during a vacation.We did have a few minor problems during our stay but technician Buddy did get them resolved and was pleasant when he came to the house.

House was very clean and close to the pier, shopping, restaurants, and attractions. We were able to bring our two little terriers with us and they had fun also. Hopefully we can stay again next year.

Enjoyable Week at the Beach

Pam at Garden City is one of the very best realtors I have ever dealt with.... 5 stars for her. This home was very nice had everything we needed. King Bed on the south end not too comfortable might need a new mattress. North End Bedroom King was comfortable. Lounge Chairs on the open side of the deck would be very nice. TV was Roku Stations so it was limited with choices without many of the major channels to watch in the evening.

The only thing this house needs is more outdoor furniture upstairs and downstairs and rugs in the bedrooms and it would be perfect! In the pictures there is a picnic table and outdoor shower and they are no longer there. So updated pictures would be helpful!
