Marlin Quay 508 is a three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath inlet/channel-front condo located across the street from the beach and two miles south of Garden City Pier. This unit features a fully-equipped kitchen with a microwave, dishwasher, and freestanding under counter ice maker, as well as a washer, dryer, central heat and air conditioning, ceiling fans, loft, and private balcony. Three TVs, surround sound, and Wi-Fi are also provided. Sleeping accommodations include two king and two queen-sized beds. Complex amenities include two outdoor swimming pools, six elevators serving two units per floor. Limit two parking and pool gate access passes at check-in. No motorcycles. No trailers. No golf carts. No smoking. No pets. Maximum occupancy: 8

Conveniently located close to some of the best area attractions, Garden City Beach is directly south of Surfside Beach and ends on a peninsula at the mouth of Murrells Inlet. One of the most renowned attractions in Garden City Beach is the Pier at Garden City. Other points of interest include Marlin Quay Marina and restaurants Sara J's Seafood Restaurant, Gulfstream Cafe, and Original Sam's Corner.

Just south of Garden City Beach is Murrells Inlet, a seaside community considered the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina" and home to some of the nation's best golf courses. Once primarily a fishing village, the town is best known for the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, a half-mile-long boardwalk overlooking a pristine salt marsh, and the many award-winning restaurants along Highway 17 Business in the central business district.

Brookgreen Gardens, a sculpture garden and wildlife preserve built on four former rice plantations, is located slightly south of the MarshWalk. It features several themed gardens with American figurative sculptures, trails through several nature reserve ecosystems, and the Lowcountry Zoo.

If you're looking for places to shop, The Market Common, Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, two Tanger shopping outlets, Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade, and many more shopping facilities are all within an easy drive from Garden City Beach.

Looking for entertainment and attractions? Take in a show at Pirates Voyage, Medieval Times, Alabama Theater, The Carolina Opry, or Legends in Concert. Then visit SkyWheel Myrtle Beach, Ripley's Aquarium, WonderWorks, Ripley's Believe It Or Not Odditorium, Hollywood Wax Museum Entertainment Center, and The Pavilion Nostalgia Park.

Other points of interest close by include the waterfront community of Georgetown, the third oldest city in South Carolina and the second largest seaport in South Carolina, and historic Conway, with its downtown Riverwalk area nestled on the banks of the Waccamaw River. Both towns include fine dining, shopping, and historic sites.

Take a day trip to Charleston to experience shopping, a harbor cruise, a city carriage tour, or a plantation tour. Charleston is only 87 miles from Garden City Beach - approximately two hours. It's a picturesque and exquisitely preserved southern city with antebellum architecture, cobblestone streets, and historical landmarks.

needs new flooring! 1/2 bath toilet was running prob needs new flap , thought the 1/2 bath was a full bath by description, couldnt get tv to change stations , other than that it was great! nice view, spacious condo. great to have elevator !!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Master bathroom had slight smell of cigarette smoke first couple of days. There was a lot of repairs going on multiple units (not ours). Only having two entry cards for 5 adults and 2 kids, entry codes would be better. Parking was limited to two vehicles. On checkout day, only elevator in our section stopped working. More elderly or handicapped person would have been stranded until elevator had been repaired. Being on 5th floor with no elevator made getting car loaded hot sweaty work. Kitchen was not stocked with bowls, pots, pans, etc. View was very nice and under counter ice maker was big plus. However, we did book same unit for next year.

But the cleanliness of the condo was fabulous. The parking is gated which was wonderful. Only issue with parking started midweek and our second car didn’t have parking space in the extra lot. The pools are very nice. Grounds are nice and clean. The condo has an ice maker which is wonderful.

Thanksgiving Room with a View!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Other than people in South Carolina strangely mispronouncing the word Quay, we had a great stay! The top-floor unit is very spacious and comfortable, and the views are spectacular. A little confusion on day one because it was not clear or conveyed that the second vehicle parking is across the street. I appreciate the key card security, but with multiple people walking and driving places it was logistically quite difficult with only two cards - code number entry would really help. The owner left detailed instructions on the technology, but you can imagine after a number of rentals it wouldn't work as described. The wifi password provided was not current, and it took a day for us to really get the wifi and TV/cable stuff figured out, after that was fine. The two adjacent restaurants were both great (and popular)! As you can see in the photos, the fixtures, appliances, and wallpaper are stuck in the early 80's but so what? Everything was in good shape, worked fine, and we cooked a 25lb turkey perfectly in that vintage oven (even ran a bit hot)! And the under-counter ice maker was great. We would stay there again in a minute!

The place is outdated, which is just fine, but the cleanliness was awful. The carpet looks like a dog had peed all over it, dust caked on the living room fan, mold in the upstairs shower grout—the list can go on! We will not book unit 508 again!

The size and access to beach were great! There were a few things wrong with our unit but I’m sure the owners are aware. We love this location and had a great week! Marlin Quay might want to let their HOA know they have two permanent residents that are not nice to renters and very controlling of the pool areas. FYI for vacationers with teenagers who like to swim at pool and play music around the pool at night !!! Otherwise love this place !

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: As always Marlin Quay is a delightful place to stay - great location, beautiful views, and secure property. Winter temperatures arrived at the coast. The A/C appeared to have malfunctioned and initially we had no heat in the condo. After calling Garden City Realty, David responded quickly to the condo. Repair service was called. David, Kathy, and others kept in touch with repair updates. Re-location to another property was avoided. MQ 508 is lovely and very spacious. We hope to return. Be sure to visit Brookgreen Gardens. Sunday Brunch at Gulfstream Cafe is wonderful but make reservations !
