Pet fee was higher than other Hampton Inns we stayed at in the last four days. (Hampton Inn in Nashville, TN and the one in Cumming, GA)
The general manager at Newport, TN would not reduce the fee at all. Also we were not given a snack bag for being Hilton Honors members. Out of the 5 employees we encountered, only one was friendly and nice (housekeeping mgr). Very unfortunate!
Hotel Receptionist (Sarah if I recall her name) sent me a text message checking in on my stay and answered questions about the facility which helped out.
The room looked nice, fresh and spacey. Check in was so slow at the front desk. I had to stand there while my room keys (got 2 only needed 1 for 1 person stay) got slowly wiped off. Apparently another associate left sticky stuff on the keys for my check in associate to wipe off. Really??? This is what checking into a 1 star motel is or was it Hampton Inn? It did make me pleasantly surprised when I saw the room was better than the 1 star check in.
Clean, nice property. It was a good stay. The guy at the front desk sure didnât seem to want to be there or be friendly. It means a lot to be welcomed to a property and have front staff want to make your stay there nice.
Coffee needs to be better and more breakfast options.
The room was clean, but the bed was stiff and uncomfortable. The elevator call button was broken on the top floor, but the staff did what they could to help.
This hotel is in desperate need of a refresh. Everything was worn and stained. The bathroom shower had black mold growing in it. The mattress had seen better days and was uncomfortable.
Staff was less than engaging nor personable when checking in and out. They paid more attention to their phones than helping us. Didnt ever greet us when going in or out of the lobby doos, seriously lacking customer service skills. Someone hit my car door and left a good size dent in it with their door. We asked if they had cameras and they simply said not that show the parking lot and went back to what they were doing.
Our vanity in the bathroom had someone elseâs makeup on it from a previous stay. The tv was not a smart tv so there were two channels that werenât news or sports to watch.
Elevator was missing some panels and some were loose.
The stay was good. The only negative was in housekeeping. Not replacing the empty tissue box, TV remote was left in the bed under the hopefully changed sheets. Coffee pods were not left for the next day. The hotel staff was always top notch.
