Hot tub for 4 (private). Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: There are steps in the grounds and the hot tub is sunk into the decking.. Backing onto trees with a wonderful sunken hot tub on the raised deck area, Pinetree Lodge is a wonderful space to relax and unwind. This charming lodge is set on a pretty area on this quiet country park and surrounded by wildlife with walks straight from the door. With a fully equipped kitchen and comfy living space, Pinetree is a great space for catching up on that well deserved holiday. The location is superb for discovering the many delights of Northumberland with easy travelling in all directions from the A1 which is only a mile away.

The property is located on the outskirts of the small village of Swarland which has a lovely café and little social club where visitors are always welcomed. On site the friendly golf club has a bar serving food, open most days where everyone can get together and make new friends. Golf is free for visitors on this pretty 9-hole golf course. There is a small children’s park at the entrance and tennis courts are on site for the more energetic!



Alnwick is only a few miles away where you can visit the home of the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland, the castle being famous for some Harry Potter and Downton Abbey scenes. A short drive takes you to the coast where you can discover miles of golden sands and friendly villages peppered with ancient castles and steeped in history. A drive up to Berwick-on-Tweed takes less than an hour, a border town still in Northumberland where you can discover some of the Scottish Borders, making a lovely day trip. No trip to Northumberland is complete without a drive over the short causeway (tidal) to Holy Island where the Lindisfarne Gospels were written. Wherever you go in Northumberland, whether it be the fascinating Dark Sky National Park or over to Hadrian’s Wall, there is something for all ages, so much so you will want to return to what is reputedly the friendliest county in England.
