Three bedroom pet friendly holiday home in the Cotswolds - Norman Chapel

Norman Chapel is a beautifully refurbished Cotswold holiday home near Moreton-in-Marsh which sleeps 6+1 guests, in three bedrooms, with the +1 option being a foldaway bed, with two spacious bathrooms. Formerly a fine Norman chapel, this Grade II* listed detached property dates back to the 12th century and boasts spacious living areas and a stunning garden which overlooks a former church. This period property is full of character features including exposed chancel and nave stonework, exposed beams and two fireplaces, both with cosy wood burners. Norman Chapel is a pet friendly holiday home away from home, suitable for two well-behaved dogs or one cat.

This three bedroom holiday home in Aston Magna is perfect for a relaxing break in the Cotswold countryside with friends and family. The Cotswold accommodation is laid out as follows:

Great location for your stay in the Cotswolds

We had a great stay in this beautiful period house in the north Cotswolds. It was perfectly located in the middle of multiple honey-coloured villages and numerous walking routes. The house itself was comfortable, very charming, however the furniture could use some patching up.

Great Stay for a family Birthday

We had a lovely stay at Norman Chapel, it is a beautiful cottage in a very cute village. There are shops and pubs a short drive away and it is quite central for visiting other popular areas in the Cotswolds. We loved the fires and it was very cosy with everything you could need! Thank you for having us!

Our weekend stay

A super sized house, ideal for a get together! Lovely location with lots to do. The kitchen was super, well resourced and very roomy. All the rooms were a good size and we loved the fire. However the front room does need more comfy furniture, too many of the chairs were uncomfortable (feathers!) However we all had a nice weekend. I would recommend as it was good value for money and a great base.

Cosy cottage stay

We stayed at the Norman Chapel for a week and fell in love with the cottage. It’s a very wholesome place to stay and set within a quiet hamlet of other beautiful homes. It was a perfect location for us to visit lots of what the Cotswolds has to offer. Lots of walks, pubs and gardens within a short distance. There was some maintenance works during our stay in the garden and have recommended to the property manager to let guests know in advance in the future when this occurs.

Needs TLC. Fridge Freezer leaked. Top oven didnt work and cooker was very unclean. Carpets and chairs in dining room badly stained. Cleaning company responded well to a problem with the bathroom light.

Lovely cottage

This lovely Cottage was perfect for our family stay, kitchen was large and well equipped. Great garden for dining and games. It’s in a small quiet village without pub/ shop but only a short drive away or a good dog walk! There were a lot of bees entering the outhouse next to patio, didn’t bother us at all but might worry young children.

Lovely stay at Norman Chapel

We loved our stay at Norman Chapel. The cottage is quirky, comfortable and surprisingly spacious. The only reason why we did not spend more time in the fantastic garden with its large patio was the weather… We enjoyed the peaceful and quiet setting of the cottage which is in easy reach of many attractions nearby. We would definitely recommend a stay at Norman Chapel!

Lovely stay in a beautiful location

Lovely garden area, ideal for dogs & children to play in. Kitchen & utility very well stocked with every item and gadget you could possibly need. Milk, orange juice, biscuits and bread there on arrival (thank you - nice touch). Beds were super comfortable. Communication ahead of check in was very comprehensive. A lovely relaxing stay and ideal base to explore the Cotswolds from.

Fantastic home with lots of character and quaint charm

Excellent property considering its age. A cosy and super warm feel throughout. A great location so quiet and yet easy access to other villages. A pheasant regularly in the garden and a cuckoo could be heard! The kitchen was a great size with all amenities and a useful boot and coat section which was handy for our dog. We had a lovely stay Thankyou.

Great break

The only reason I gave cleanliness a 4 when we arrived the recycling was everywhere in the garden it did get removed by somebody while we was out one day otherwise a great little place to stay, parking can be a problem sometimes. Especially if you have two large cars. But with that in mind it only happened once. It wouldn’t put me off staying again.

Nice retreat

Large , spacious with all the commodities , great garden , very well equipped and comfortable cottage full of history . Things to improve could be a little cleaner , the place was full of spiders and spider webs , the sofa and seats in the living room are a little tired . But overall a really nice comfy and spacious cottage in a very quite and lovely location- perfect for a family / group retreat.

Charming Cottage in the Cotswolds

• very peaceful setting • cottage was very charming, comfortable and décor was lovely • we loved the history and character of the cottage! • location is convenient for exploring the Cotswolds • it was restful to awake to birdsong and hear the sheep in a nearby field • nice patio area and yard • kitchen was well equipped and on arrival we found bread, eggs and milk • appreciated being able to do laundry (drying rack and outdoor clothesline available) • information on the cottage, Cotswolds, map and brochures on nearby attractions were helpful • would happily return here for a visit!

Excellent rural paradise!

The location of the cottage is amongst a lovely rural cluster of houses, all very beautiful. The cottage has a lovely garden which can be enjoyed by all, especially young children. We had a problem with the freezer on the day we arrived but after a quick phone call somebody was around in 30 minutes to fix it. The cottage is close to Moreton-in-marsh but also worth a visit is Bourton on the water. Would definitely recommend the cottage which is great value for money and very comfortable.

lovely weekend property could do with a bit of TLC

Great weekend with family , cottage in good location ,plenty of room just some TLC required . Bedroom door wouldn't close due to screws missing on hinge , cupboard door not fixed on just slotted in ,unused aerial cable just spread on floor ,downstairs bathroom ceiling got damp mould , Old property but damp wall areas need attention there is just lots of small details need sorting , Furniture in there saying fragile do not use ? Garden great even though winter and secure for dog .

Quintessential Cotswold cottage in quiet village

Beautiful location, convenient for many other Cotswold centres. Very characterful cottage, with cosy sitting room and log burner, and comfortable beds. Property manager helpfully brought us some coffee pods for the new machine, basic food supplies and a pretty Christmas tree. Kitchen very well equipped. Things that could be improved: firelighters and matches for fire, instructions for TV (also very glitchy), one bedroom door hinge was broken so the door had to stay open, and no bulb in a bedside light. All minor things, outweighed by the positives .

good location but poor in cleanliness

The house was big and location very quiet. Wonderful garden. The real problem was the lack of clearnliness. The furniture and all rooms were lacking a deep clean. Moreover, I removed 35 spiders during my stay. Some of them quite big, some of them in beds or sofas. I understand it's an old country house but the cleaning process should take into consideration removing all the spiders every week.

Lovely house

Lovely stay in Norman Chapel. Beautiful house. Very clean. Nice welcome pack that we didn’t realise we would get. Really could do with wardrobes, in 2 of the bedrooms, not everything wants to be folded. Some of the blinds are tired. One in main bedroom there was a problem with, goes all the way up or all the way down, no in between. Beds very comfortable. Had a problem with heating but that was resolved quickly. Would recommend.
