The San Juan guest house has gravel driveway parking spaces that leads to your own private entrance. Although the guest house is connected to the main house it is not shared with the rest of the house and is locked off. Upon entering you will have a full kitchen with all the kitchen ware for cooking and eating. There is a living room for relaxing, a dining table for your meals or space for work. There are 2 bedrooms one with a new queen bed and the other is a new double bed that you can catch a good nights sleep on as well as a twin size futon for additional sleeping spots.
The Black Canyon of Gunnison National Park view is seen from the front of the house and is only a 20 minute drive to the south end road that goes to the main entrance. Ouray Hotsprings is about a 45 minute drive and in between you can visit the beautiful Ridgway State Park. The center of Montrose town is about an 8 mile drive where you have all of the major retail stores such as target, Walmart, fast food chains and more. I highly suggest visiting Main Street to shop at all of our wonderful local stores from gifts and coffee to local eateries. Last but not least try gazing on your porch!
