Everything was perfect. The house was so warm and cozy. The rooms were unique, comfortable and quiet. The claw foot soaking tub was amazing, in its own little alcove. The hosts were very charming and interesting to chat with. The breakfasts were so delicious! The best scone Iâve ever eaten! I would go back over and over. Highly recommend it. And donât forget to take home some of their delicious hot chocolate drink mix!
Beautiful bed and breakfast near the Grand Mesa. The room was huge and unique design. Bathroom had the largest tub Iâve seen in a while! Breakfast was fantastic!
We loved staying there. Marty and Terry were very friendly and we loved their house. I also loved their dog. Marty built the adobe house. It is located off the beaten path, which I loved. Scones in the morning were excellent and homemade by Terry, as was the rest of the breakfast provided. I wish I had taken a picture of it and the bedroom I stayed in, which was nicely furnished. They have a few acres and there is a nice path with a great view from their back yard. Would definitely stay there again if I'm in the area. Cute downtown area with a few restaurants. They do have a microwave and dorm size fridge available as well as LOTS of books and a TV if you want/need to watch something.
We didn't stay there as we booked for the night before on expedia. Long story short we were in town to see family and did not expect for every hotel within 100miles to be booked on a random night in September. That was our fault for not planning. The owners were very kind and stated they would cancel the reservation
The architecture was unique, pueblo style with a lot of artistic touch, and a pinch of Provence.
The mattress was perfect for me and the host Terri made a perfect breakfast with fresh fruit and herbs.
One of the highlights of my road trip!
Thanks for the piece of European feeling!
Terry, the host, was friendly and sweet but seemed tired and unwell. The place could be stunning. The house is uniquely original and intriguing. To be fair, our room, and en-suite bathroom were clean and linen was fresh. The problem was with the entry, the patio and the water/plant feature. They were filthy and rundown. The patio furniture was splintery and wobbly. The plants were dirty and dropping dead leaves. I wonât start on the library.
Give Maison de Terre a good cleaning and it will be a real gem. Its âbonesâ are superb and the good-natured host is welcoming. That will please the guests. Ann & Rob Matthews
Iâm not a B&B guy but we were on a 5500 mile motorcycle trip and wanted a two night rest stay in this area. Pictures of the Green Room looked perfect for a rest and there was no disappointment. The host was gracious and there was no weird B&B vibe. The home was truly special⊠just the whole thing was first rate. The room, the absurdly decadent breakfast, and even Ivy the dog was just so enjoyable. If you love chain hotels you might not like it. But if youâre open to a unique experience, youâll love this stay.
Hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming.
Delicious breakfast. Hosts were gracious enough to sit down and chatty with us during breakfast.
Very interesting adobe home. It was built by the owners themselves, from scratch (they even built the bricks themselves).
The hosts were very accommodating and very pleasant. They obviously take a lot of pride into what they created and rightfully so. The room and the shower was so peaceful along with deer grazing outside your window. There is nothing that is not superb about staying here .
The home baked scones and the breakfast crepes was scrumptious.. Much to look forward to wake up to .
Overall, our stay was good. Our only concerns were the cleanliness of the linens and dirty dishes left in our room. The home was beautiful, was very hospitable.
