Sheep Farm - Unique Space - Amazing Views

The Studio at Green Pastures is one of 4 rentals offered by Green Pastures Getaways. We'd like to welcome you to "Green Pastures". This was our "dream property" for over 20 years as we passed by it almost every day. We became friends with the previous owners many years ago and amazingly, now it's ours! We're looking forward to sharing it with you! I know that you'll enjoy your stay here!!

The Studio at Green Pastures is one of the most unique spaces you'll find anywhere! The view thru the over sized glass garage door is breathtaking. You can watch our flock of Katahdin sheep (and other animals) grazing in the pasture just outside. The space is used as an Art Studio and is decorated with an artistic coffee shop theme. The space boasts a small stage, 84 inch TV, multiple tables set up with games and books (to resemble a coffee shop), lot's of art, a full kitchen, coffee bar, etc. The space has an open floor plan with beautiful concrete floors and has the feel of a loft or Barndominium.

Outside the pastures are green and beautiful! There's a lot to enjoy around the property and you're welcome to roam around. There is an old trolley that was used in downtown Birmingham sitting right beside The Studio. The area beside the trolley has tables and chairs, cafe lights and is a great place to sit and relax. There is a pond for fishing (some large bass and bream) just down the hill. Star gazing is amazing as is looking at a gorgeous moon, sunrise, sunset, etc. It's not uncommon to see deer and turkeys roaming the pasture, owls and hawks fly by, herons looking for a meal in the pond, and most recently a group of small foxes. All types of birds make regular visits to the feeders around the property.

There is a 3 BR / 3 BA house (Shepherd's Retreat) on the property that can accommodate 6 guests. There is a separate guest house (The Cottage) on the property that can accommodate 3 guests. There is another space (The Barn) that we have that is less than half a mile away that can accommodate 5 guests. Just inquire about these options and I'll be glad to give you all the details.

We spend a lot of time here at Green Pastures and are typically on site on a daily, basis. There is a lot of property to maintain, grass to cut, animals to care for so you'll see us around. If we're not here, we're usually close by and always only a call or text away.

This is a very private property yet only 5 minutes to I-65. If you're not familiar with the Montevallo/ Calera / Alabaster / Columbiana / Pelham area just let us know and we'll be glad to make some suggestions on things to do, places to eat, etc. We've put together a list of our favorite spots and that list is included and is also available online.
