Roudy’s Retreat: Secluded Mountain Cabin with Hot Tub and Private Pond

Escape to this spacious retreat with a hot tub and everything you need to get away. The wooden interior will take you to a rustic cabin with all the modern amenities you need.

Enjoy some alone time in the loft reading a book or play a game with the family at the large table. Gather around the fire pit, relax in the hot tub, fish in the pond, or get cozy around the wood stove. Settle down on the large deck to enjoy the mountain air, watch the sunset over the trees, or just listen to the sounds of nature.

Our cabin features a private bedroom downstairs with a queen size bed and an upstairs loft with 3 separate sleeping areas. A full bed area with it's own balcony, an area with 2 twin sized beds and another area with 2 queen sized beds. Big enough for the whole family! The large great room has plenty of things to keep you busy should you decide to stay inside. Or find many outdoor activities on site such as hiking and fishing in the private pond, or take a short drive from the cabin for all your outdoor experiences.

Find yourself enjoying the beautiful mountains of Virginia while not missing the amenities of home. Full kitchen and even a stocked coffee bar.

While there is no cell reception at the cabin, we do have WiFi for all your connectivity needs. Want to make it a device free weekend? - don't share the password!

Located in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains you will find yourself only miles away from Crabtree Falls (largest cascading waterfalls east of the Mississippi), an abundance of hiking trails (including the Appalachian Trail), and fishing holes galore (stocked ponds as well as stocked and native trout streams).

Within an hour drive to skiing, golf courses and the well known restaurants, breweries, distilleries and wineries on Nelson 151.

Guests will pass the country store and gas station on the way in, less than 3 miles away. Once you turn off of Route 56 (Crabtree Falls Highway) the road is gravel from about a mile in all the way to the cabin. There are sections that may be difficult to traverse in inclement weather (snow/ice). Please proceed with caution. 4WD or AWD recommended in the winter.

Security cameras are located at the front door, overlooking the pond and on the front corners of the house. Cameras are turned off for your stay after check-in.

Dogs are allowed- please be sure to include them in your reservation and pay the fee.
