We rented this house for a 3 generation lake visit for Spring Break this year, and the house exceeded our expectations in many areas!From a first floor owners suite which is perfect tor some more mobility challenged guests to a basement gameroom that was a secluded away space for kids, this property has many separate nooks and spaces that provide a great deal of flexibility for larger groups to not feel in each other's business all the time.The walk down to the lake/boathouse is a bit steep, so be prepared for that, but the multi-level.boar house deck is absolutely lovely for hanging out or enjoying a quiet morning or evening, and the nearby fire pit was a family favorite for bonfires by the lakefront.Of many of the VRBOs/houses we have stayed in, the kitchen here was top notch, both with being outfitted with good equipment, in good functioning order (the knives were fairly sharp, a common oversight we've seen), and everything was clearly labeled to aid in both finding things and putting them back away.The location here is great for exploring the upper Roanoke channel of SML, being a quick 5 min boat ride over to Bridgewater or down lake to th State Park, as well as in an easy driving distance to several local restaurants and wineries.The owners were very attentive and responsive throughout the booking process, and had procidrd clear and detailed documentation on how to use various things or when to call with issues!
