DETAILED DESCRIPTION:
Welcome to Sanddollar Townhomes, Unit 6A. This beautiful, pet-friendly townhouse sits directly on the white-sand beaches of the emerald cost. This 1-bedroom beach house can be rented alone or combined with unit B for a 3-bedroom house. Each unit has its own full kitchen, bathroom(s), laundry machines, and decks that overlook the Gulf of Mexico. The house is upgraded with new bath vanities with granite counters and marble sinks. The kitchens offer custom cabinets, stainless steel appliances and quartz counter tops. The spacious decks have rain-proof coverings and are adorned with modern pvc furniture with Sunbrella cushions for your relaxation. All living areas and bedrooms share a private wifi connection and TVs in each room.

The street-level unit is a 1-bedroom apartment offering a queen bed, full kitchen, full bath, living room and sleeper sofa. It has its own deck just off the living room with a private entryway door on both the street and beach sides. One set of Beach Service chairs and umbrella is included Mar-Oct.

**Pets: Restricted to 1 dog of 40 lbs or less, crate-trained dogs only. Pet should be secured in crate at any time it is left alone in the property. Pet fee applies and may be added if not included at the time of reservation.
**Parking: There is one designated parking spot for this rental, and it is directly in front of the unit. Guests may only park one small or midsize vehicle onsite. All other vehicles must be parked off site at owner's discretion.
**There is NO SMOKING allowed in this property.
**There is no elevator here, so all parties should be able to navigate stairs. To access the beach, there is a staircase on the beach side of the building.

Poorly maintained. The pictures of the Condo were misleading . Plug in's in the bedroom were hard to use. No clocks in the condo that would work. No lighting on the balcony which make it unusable at night and dangerous on the steps. The whole condo lay out is just odd and not explained well for booking . Parking is terrible. The Bathroom door would close on it's own. We did like the beach location, The view, and pet friendly.

We loved the setup directly on the beach, but our heater didn’t work. The temp dropped to 36 degrees, and the townhouse was uncomfortably cold. So we left a night early, because another cold night was coming. Honestly, we’d like a refund for the last night, since we had to leave early. Otherwise, we loved the unit & the balcony. Parking was also tricky, but we were able to squeeze in with some help from the neighbors. Other than the non-working heater/AC unit, we really enjoyed our stay. I do have pics of the “PO” malfunction code on the heater and pics of the inside temp, if you need them for verification.

Everything was amazing except the parking . We have a ford edge and constantly had guests on each side of us trying to move car over 
. Parking too small and total nightmare. Other wise a great location and right on beach, super clean. Would probably stay again but take our smaller car. Parking bummer !!

View is amazing! Love the little porch view. Great to be able to walk to Pompano Joes. Seafood is yum! Alvins, CVS, Pizza hut down the street and ice cream right across from unit. They take chairs away by 5pm. Too early to do that. Porch needs repainted badly. 6a is cute and clean. Buy or bring some beach towels and wash clothes/ towel. Theirs are all white and they charge if you stain them. I wear make up so... They give you a nice starter kit for cleaning up, TP, papertowls. I brought a couple bed sheets too for the couch and an extra one for the bed. Joined the Destin rec center $25 per person so we could swim every day. Tons of great shopping, food and things to do 10-12 min drive away. Airport is so easy to navigate since it's small. Rented a car. So worth it. Cant wait to go back to Destin

1) view of the beach - excellent 2) the private beach - excellent 3) Condo - dirty, toilet leaked, and HVAC was partially controlled by the unit above. Cleaning company has to be making a killing on this unit because we had to clean the kitchen, floors, deck. Area rug was filthy, full of sand. 4) Parking for your 1 vehicle is comical and frustrating. Was woke up once while the owner/properly manage banged on doors trying to determine who’s car was who’s. Another time (daytime) the same owner/property manager approached the same topic. 5) noise from renters above can get loud, especially in the entry bedroom. I would not book here again due to the cleanliness and parking games you have to play.

Great location, inside of property needs work

The location is great and being able to walk right down to the beach, but the unit itself definitely needs improvement. There was a musty odor in the unit and the several things that needed to be cleaned. It’s also not sound proof for the people staying above or below you.

A definite gem

The condo is just as advertised. Clean and neat! Perfect location to walk to several places to eat. The walk out right on the beach is the best! Chairs and umbrella set out each morning around 7am and were retrieved at 5pm, this was wonderful. The sliding door to the deck was difficult to open and close from the outside. We had a wonderful time!

On the beach

Great place. Clean, equipped with everything stated in the description. Access to the beach is great. Beach chairs and umbrella were nice to have set up every morning. I did email and never got a reply back. We did not like the noise from the top floor and neighbors that stay up past midnight playing loud music and being loud. The second night we asked them to please keep it down and they did. But you hear everything from people staying next to you. Parking is very compact. We had an acura mdx and it was very tight space. They do recommend you bring small vehicles. But how can you do that when you travel by car, impossible with a family. It was a pleasant stay. Great location and place. Just need bigger parking spaces.

Right on the sand!

This property is very well equipped and well located. I appreciated having enough dishwashing detergent, garbage bags, and laundry detergent provided for the week. There was even some Dawn dish soap and there were also coffee filters, which I’d forgotten to bring. The unit is literally a staircase away from the sand which made trips to and from the water super quick and easy. There are two drawbacks that wouldn’t keep me from staying here again. One is that the unit shares a door in the bedroom to access the unit above (which I assume can be rented to share the week with a larger group) and we happened to have a very persistent barking dog who camped out right at that door and barked non-stop for extended periods of time while the people above us were out. This is not at all the property owner’s fault, nor that of the management company. It’s just something to take into consideration. The other issue is that parking is very tight. While we followed instructions and brought a smaller vehicle, the people around us did not. We were sandwiched between an Expedition and an Excursion which made opening car doors quite a challenge. Nonetheless, we would definitely stay here again!

Walk down the deck steps and you’re on the beach. An attendant set up chairs and an umbrella every day - an unexpected perk. The beach is private which kept the crowds down, even during peak spring break time. Great views from the deck. Close to shopping and restaurants. The condo itself is fairly tired on the inside (sloppy painting, unfinished and loose flooring, uncomfortable sofa and chair, etc.) made worse by the fact the floor and area rugs were filthy. Good shower and comfortable bed though. Small water heater led to quick showers. Overall, good, not great. It wouldn’t take much to make this a truly spectacular condo.
