This adults-only geodome draws gentle inspiration from The Hobbit - think cozy, intimate spaces designed for playful escapes and deep relaxation. Unlike typical glamping setups on small lots with multiple units side-by-side, Bag End stands alone in woods, ensuring complete privacy: no visible neighbors. After running short-term rentals in the NC and TN mountains, while raising 4 daughters and working full time, we wanted to retire and were looking for a fun place to do something unique. We discovered Milledgeville while visiting our daughter in Savannah. We fell in love with our 100-acre wooded paradise, perfect for a secluded getaway. Passionate about preserving its natural beauty, we designed our unique domes to blend fun—like our daughters’ favorite Totoro theme—with minimal impact. We chose our 100-acre property in Milledgeville, GA, for its serene, wooded beauty and secluded charm, perfect for crafting an unforgettable escape. This land spoke to us as a private retreat where we could preserve nature’s splendor while offering unique getaways. The rolling forest and gentle stream inspired us to build our Totoro-themed glamping dome, blending whimsy with minimal environmental impact, creating a magical, pet-friendly haven for couples seeking adventure and tranquility near Lake Sinclair.

The dome is located just 15 minutes from both Lake Sinclair and Downtown Milledgeville for each and quick access to dining, shopping and lake activities.
