First the good: Location. The apartment is located in an amazing location. Very central in beautiful Condesa with easy access to parks and transportation cafes and restaurants. Absolutely a joy. We felt safe in the neighborhood. The bad: The apartment is the absolute minimum in terms of maintenance1. Noise- The apartment is located on a busy street. This would be fine, given central location and being in a big city. The challenge is the windows do not close-- either due to rust (bedrooms) or rot (kitchen).2. Smell- The apartment has very poor ventilation-- none in the very small bathroom in the first bedroom and no vent in the kitchen. There is ongoing sewer smell from the bathroom. 3. Communication- Overall poor communication with he host. They have several hotels/apartments in the city and things were not addressed promptly. For example, we reported a strong gas smell from under the kitchen that was never addressed. 4. General neglect- The apartment has a lot of potential but is generally of poor care. Walls are dirty, windows are not clean, ceilings are not painted. Despite charging a premium for staying in an apartment, this felt more like a hostel level of maintenance which was very disappointing. Strong recommendation for staying in Condesa but definitely much to be improved in the apartment.

The apartment is described as set in the leafy Condesa neighborhood. However this apartment is on a 4 lane major road, including a dedicated bus lane. The traffic noise was deafening, all night long. The building shook as trucks passed by. The window sills had road grime on them. The kitchen was ill-equipped - no dish towels, no paper towels, no sponge, no dish soap. No shower gel in one bathroom. There was no hot water in the bathroom sinks. No heat in the unit. The interior stairs to the apartment were dirty and poorly lit. One had to enter the building and go through a garage to get to the interior stairs. We left after one night. It was a disaster! This is not a property that should be listed on VRBO.

The apartment is perfectly located, clean, and comfortable. The mgmt team was extremely responsive when contacted. I would definitely stay at a Tasman property again.
