This beautiful, modern apartment is perfectly located on the vibrant, lively Degraves Str - Experience the Melbourne laneway coffee and bar culture at your doorstep. Paris end shopping, tourist sights, Flinders Street Station, Art Centre, free city tram and anything else you could ask for are few steps away.

The space
The apartment is in an old building with a great vibe and atmosphere. "Mutual Store" once used to be Melbourne's first department store with all of its glory. The 2BR apartment is spacious with very high ceilings. It is beautifully furnished and well maintained. The floors, bathroom and kitchen have been recently updated. You have fresh sheets and towels at your disposal.

There is a queen bed in the master bedroom. The second bedroom has two single beds. In the living room there is a double couch bed.

Getting Around

The apartment is across the street from Flinders Street station from where several trains to various suburbs depart. The tram (several lines) including free city tram is at your doorstep. Everything you need is within walking distance so there is no need for a car.

We loved this apartment, it is in such a great location and walking distance to everything. The free circle tram is a bonus and very close by. The lane outside is fantastic with many restaurants right on your doorstep. Other reviews mentioned the noise outside, but as a group of 4 adults, who all live inner city, this was not an issue - was lovely to hear the set up of the restaurants and the buzz of city life. We would love to come back and stay. Thank you for having us.

Fantastic apartment for our family of 5 to stay while attending the cricket. Excellent location for getting to all the sports stadiums and restaurants, supermarkets and shopping. The apartment itself was well set up and had everything we needed. Excellent hosts, with quick responses to questions and clear check in and out instructions. And lastly, great value for money.

Fantastic centrally located apartment right in the heart of everything. It was wonderful to walk out and just have a plethora of restaurants and bars literally on the doorstep. Supermarket is just around the corner so an easy walk to stock up if you are self catering. I was a bit nervous about the key collection but it was super straightforward and easy to manage. The apartment had EVERYTHING ! Umbrellas, books, coffee pods. I travelled with my 86 year old dad and he found everything easy to use. The beds were super comfortable; they are very firm, but we loved that. The location was fantastic, of course a bit of noise due to it being right in the heart of everything but quiet with the windows shut. Only thing to make it perfect would be a second set of keys. We were okay but it meant we had to work out how to stay together as the key lock thing was a bit too hard for dad to work out ! We are planning a way to come back. Thank you also to Susanna and Tom for prompt comms and helping me with my slight anxiety around collecting the key ! Highly recommend this spot.

Great location on Degraves Street!! Loved the space, the security, the kitchen, and the washer and dryer. Halfway point of our trip so we were able to easily do laundry. It was easy to walk everywhere for great restaurants and shopping!!

Overall, our stay was very good. One negative was some dirty utensils and dishes in the cupboards and drawer. The other negative was something the owner could not change but had a huge impact on our stay. There was some sort of road, sewer or water works going on in the lane/street that began at @ 5:30am every morning of our stay. Impossible to sleep through

We loved the apartment. It was just as described and had everything we needed to make us comfortable. It is very well located with Flinders Station 100m away and a tram stop just around the corner. The laneway outside has restaurants and open air seating for cafes. It is easy to wander nearby laneways and access shopping. We did not need it but there is a washing machine, dryer and drying rack in the apartment. We would recommend this apartment for a weekend away in Melbourne!

Great Location in the Heart of Melbourne

Fantastic apartment located right in the heart of Melbourne. Perfect for a family with teenagers. Shopping, restaurants and transport right at your doorstep. Apartment was clean, fully equipped and had great heating. Would 100% recommend.

Perfect spot to explore Melbourne!

We loved this beautiful apartment in the laneway. The cute department store labels on the second floor were fun (but we thought the elevator should announce ladies millinery). You are on a laneway with connections to all the fun lanes & arcades that snake through central Melbourne and the location is perfect for public transport as well. The apartment was clean, comfortable and well stocked. We would definitely stay again!

The property is in Melbourne downtown. A lot of restaurants are nearby. it is only 5 mins walk to Flinders train station. The check-in instruction need to be updated. The picture in the instruction was out of date. When we stayed in the property, the building had an issue about the A/C. As a result, the property was kind of hot.

Good apt overall but lock box in a nearby sketchy alley that requires getting down on your knees on the pavement with a vent blowing in ones face felt very uncomfortable and a bit unsafe. accessing. inface.

Fantastic location in heart of Melbourne

Very clean and tidy apartment. Amenities provided in the unit were great as we didn’t have to go and buy everything (dish liquid, paper towel, laundry, etc) just a few little things. Fabulous location with everything close by. Queen bed was uncomfortable but we used fold out. Unit exactly as advertised. Highly recommend!

Location of this property is perfect! We come to Melbourne every year and this is one of the best for location and ease of getting around. The apartment has everything you need and has a good feel about it. We'll definitely be returning.
