The beautiful and cosy basement flat is located in a quiet side street (play street) in the Obergartzem district. The holiday flat was completely renovated and refurbished in spring 2023. The house itself was completed in 2000. In addition to the hallway, shower room and kitchen, the flat has a bedroom with two single beds and a sofa bed in the living room (sleeping area 1.4 x 2 m). The living room has a bay window with 5 floor-to-ceiling windows facing the large outdoor terrace. The terrace itself is sheltered and offers enough space to spend time outdoors. There is a barbecue, a lounge set, two sun loungers and a parasol on the terrace.

There is a small supermarket with a butcher's shop, bakery, post office and drinks shop nearby (approx. 5 minutes' walk). A bus stop is about 300 metres away.

The Zikkurat with its large fitness studio, Nordic walking park, casino, Eifeltherme Zikkurat, bowling centre, kebab grill, indoor soccer, laser tag arena and indoor games hall as well as other leisure facilities are within easy walking distance. In the summer months there is a beer garden at the weekend. There is also a large paint-ball facility and a children's quad track in the village. The Krewelshof also attracts thousands of visitors from near and far every year with its large farm shop, restaurant and large outdoor area. In the village community centre, the civic and cultural association offers a meeting place for residents and guests to enjoy cool drinks on Wednesdays and Fridays from 6 pm. There are also regular cultural events here, which we advertise in our guest folder.

The Thermen- und Badewelt Euskirchen can be reached in about 10 minutes, Phantasialand in BrĂŒhl in about 20 minutes. There are countless possibilities for trekking and hiking, information is available in the holiday apartment.

The flat is ideal for families with small children, for hikers, cyclists, nature lovers and anyone looking for peace and relaxation. There are many leisure activities in the village and the surrounding area.

Unfortunately, the flat is not suitable for people with walking difficulties.

Outlet centre Bad MĂŒnstereifel with around 60 shops
Location description : The districts of Firmenich and Obergartzem form a double town, as they merge into one another without a visible border. In particular, the leisure facilities of the Zikkurat and the Eifeltherme thermal baths as well as the very convenient location just 3 minutes from the A1 motorway and directly on the B 266 make a holiday here really worth experiencing. For hikers and cyclists there are numerous possibilities in the immediate vicinity of the holiday apartment as well as in the surrounding area. A small supermarket with bakery and butcher's shop, hairdresser, furniture store, car repair shops, quad bike hire, snack bar and various sports facilities round off the offer directly in the village. In the town area, especially in the neighbouring town of Kommern and in Mechernich, our guests will find a good range of cafés, bistros, restaurants and shopping facilities. Firmenich-Obergartzem is located directly in the German-Belgian High Fens/Eifel Nature Park. The park administration alone organises around 1200 different nature-related events every year. Just a few kilometres away is the Eifel National Park, which also offers hundreds of events every year. A large number of major events in Mechernich and the surrounding area offer good leisure opportunities for almost all interests, and the very good transport links allow quick connections to Cologne and Bonn both by car and by public transport.
Other sports and leisure facilities :
Swimming, sauna, massages in the Eifeltherme directly in the town, paintball facility and motocross on the outskirts, quad bike hire, children's quad bike track, hiking, free guided national park hikes with a ranger, Nordic walking park with various routes, walking, very good cycle path network throughout the town and in the Euskirchen district. Numerous restaurants, bistros, cafés in the Kommern district (approx. 5 km) or in Mechernich town centre (7.5 km) as well as in the entire town area. The largest and most modern bowling centre in the greater Cologne-Bonn-Aachen area is also directly in the town, within easy walking distance. Small supermarket, bakery, butcher's shop and post office only 5 minutes' walk away. Several supermarkets (ALDI, LIDL, Netto, REWE-Center) in the neighbouring village of Kommern. Kebab grill, bowling centre with snack bar, laser tag arena in the Zikkurat (approx. 800 m) and small café in the Landmarkt. Cafe-restaurant with daily breakfast buffet and lunch in the Krewelshof on the outskirts of the village.
