Deer Cove Lodge on Norris Lake w/ Kayaks

Listing Description:
Lakefront home with a private dock with one covered slip for your family to get away on beautiful Norris Lake! The property is a 3 bedroom / 3.5 bath home that has a hot tub, ping pong & pool table, foosball, WIFI, & samsung smart TV's throughout the home with two porches to overlook pristine Norris Lake. The home is minutes away from Beach Island Marina & Bubba Brews (5 min drive). There are 103 steps from the lower deck to the dock & the tram on the property is out neighbors & not for renters use!

The Space:
-We have multiple pontoon rentals available upon request. You must have a valid boaters license or be born before 1989 to operate. Please note we deliver the boat to the property & the boat can be taken out anytime during your stay, just note per our insurance, the boats are not to be taken out after dark. All Bookings must be made a week in advance to guarantee delivery. All boats must be returned with a full tank of gas to avoid additional charges. Please note we do not rent tubes but local marinas do & the boat is to be returned to the house after the rental period is over.

Rates are as follows:

Pontoon rental - $325 per day plus taxes & $50 insurance & taxes.

-There are also kayaks included with the rental close to the dock. Please note that we do not provide life jackets. Please be sure to return to the kayak rack at the property once finished!

-The home is located at the end of Dodson Creek Cove right past Bubba Brews & Beach Island Marina on Jesse Rd!

-The home is equipped with a spacious kitchen equipped with a standard coffee maker, dishwasher, fridge, stove, microwave & much more! The home also includes a hot tub, ping pong table, foosball, pool table, weber gas grill with propane on site that we provide, Fiber WIFI, & samsung smart TV’s throughout the entire house as well as a double deck overlooking Norris Lake!

-There is a private dock with a swim ladder! One boat is allowed per house. Our pontoon rental stays in the other slip!

-It is not allowed to leave your trailer at the property & is highly recommended to launch prior to going to the property. The road is short but is a single lane and is tight & peaks & valleys in spots which would make turning around with a trailer difficult. We however do provide several options. There’s an additional property we own 2 minutes away that can be dropped at in the field beside the house or we have a gated warehouse less then 10 minutes away that it can be left at for the duration of your stay. Just please be sure to let us know which option you prefer as it gets closer. You can put in at Beach Island Marina (5 mins away)!

-Please note, this part of the lake has year round water. Just please be advised that lake levels are lowered by the TVA in the Fall and raised again in the Spring & can fluctuate in off season months.


Guest Access:
The entire house is available & no more than 3 cars allowed at the property & 1 boat per house.

Other Things to Note:
-Check in is at 4 & Check out is at 10 & you must be 25 to rent
-House includes All Linens, bath towels, pots, pans, utensils, baking sheets, etc.
-A STARTER supply of dish soap, dishwasher pods, paper towels, a roll of toilet paper per bathroom, & trash bags (indoor & outdoor)
-Recommended items to bring: Extra trash bags, paper products, soaps, detergents, toilet paper, beach towels for hot tubs or lake, & all personal soaps, shampoo, & conditioners.
-3 Car MAX limit as this property shares a steep driveway with our other property there.
-No smoking or parties allowed anywhere on the property.
-We provide all firewood & propane tanks.
-There are outdoor security cameras for protection since this is a year round rental.
-Check in and out times are firm unless approved in advance.
-Nearest grocery store is Food City which is 10 minutes away.
-No pets are allowed at our properties
-Indoor Fireplace is for owners use only
-Please note that there is one slip available for guest use. We keep our pontoon rental in the other slip as stated above.
-There is no jumping off the upper level of the dock. There are steel cables that run underneath to keep the dock in place

The check-in process was simple and smooth! All communication from the property management came in ample time to plan out our arrival and departure. The property was clean and well kept with all linens, kitchen necessities and amenities that you could ask for. The simplicity of having a boat available and at the property upon arrival was amazing! We are thankful for such a great trip and property to accommodate a big group!

Very well stocked home with beautiful decor! Best stocked kitchen we’ve seen, with lots of dishes, utensils, & a great variety of cooking utensils, pots, and pans. Dock was very nice and we really appreciated the delivery and pickup of the boat. Biggest negative was the sloping concrete before the steps to the back of the house. It sloped off to the side and there was a bigger first step going up to the house. Was a bit treacherous. Gunner was very responsive and a great host!!

Great place

Had a great family trip! Communication was quick with any questions house was great! Kids loved the hot tub and game area with ping pong and pool table. Rented a boat as well all was smooth boat was there when we arrived and they picked back up for us at the end of our stay. Hot tub was very welcoming after the day on the lake and the walk back up all the steps!

We loved the property and location! The house is amazing and actually WAY bigger in person than it looks in the pictures on VRBO. The stairs down to the lake are no joke
we are early 50s so really appreciated the deck 1/2 way up to catch your breath
LOL. Would’ve loved to have the option to pay for the electric ramp that the neighbors were using!!

Fabulous week at the lake.

Gunner was great to work with. Very responsive. House was great and kitchen well equipped. Pontoon rental was also great and was awesome it was right at the dock at the house dso we didn’t have to hassle with a marina rental. Overall great week and would stay again!

Excellent location, beautiful house

This house was wonderful. Tons of space for our 6 adults. Master suite was amazing! Windows made us feel like part of the lake. Loved being close to Marina and having our boat at the house. The stairs are a lot, but not that big of a deal. Host was super responsive. We would come back for sure.

Relaxing stay

Pictures are accurate. Clean and spacious. Check in process easy. We enjoyed every second of the pool table and hot tub. The master bathtub is HUGE! We experienced a little snow and ice and didn’t feel safe leaving the house for a couple of days due to not having a vehicle to handle these conditions on the road the house is on (steep). I know this is a rare occurrence but just wanted to put it out there. Without snow/ice my Camry was fine on the roads around the house. We spent the majority of our time on the bottom floor. Used the grill and it worked great.

We really liked the house, only down fall which we knew was the steps to the lake. Hot tub was a great add on which we enjoyed along with the deck out back! Beds where comfortable and the house stayed nice and cool!!

Perfect secluded cove, wonderful dock and the pontoon rental was top notch. Allowed us to explore the lake further than our last visit to Norris. 10/10 would recommend.

Satisfied, exercised, and slightly disappointed...

The house and the amenities within were great. Very clean, stocked, loads of entertainment, and great for out group. The steps, which we knew about coming into this, were a challenge to some, and definitely a workout to all. The only disappointment we had was with the dock and the jacuzzi areas. There was no power on the outlets or the lights, so that we could enjoy these things at night. Especially since we had two paddle boards, two towable, and a island float to blow up. Had to be done at the house and carried down the steps. Then back up to deflate fully. So all in all, in was a great trip for us, and I would recommend. Just be mindful, that trips to the dock and back need to be well thought out.
