The former residential house in Mastershausen was converted into a fully equipped holiday home in 2020. The foundations were laid with new windows and energy-efficient external insulation, while an intelligent room layout allows for flexible numbers of people.

A separate bedroom can be allocated to both the upper and lower living units. An additional room was created under the roof, which can be used as a bedroom for larger groups.
From singles to couples, large or double families to small travelling groups, the Däschinger holiday home offers the right amount of space. Further details can be found in the floor plans and the equipment list.
The house, with a beautifully landscaped garden, is situated in a quiet location in the centre of the naturally grown village of Mastershausen in the Rhine-Hunsrück district of Rhineland-Palatinate. Restaurants (e.g. Pfälzer Stube - 50 m, pizzeria "Zum Toni" - 300 m), the Bertgen bakery and patisserie (50 m) and other shopping facilities are just a few metres away from the house and can be easily reached on foot. The first step out of the front door is the first step into nature.
The flat is modern and furnished with attention to detail. In addition to a cosy kitchen, the living and dining area offers enough space for all guests. In addition to the flat, the garden can also be used for socialising or barbecuing.

The living area consists of a small kitchen, a bathroom, a living and dining area, a bedroom with a double bed and a loft with 4 single beds. The beds in the loft can be arranged in different ways depending on requirements.

Further important information
The lamps in the corridors have a motion detector, so they switch on and off automatically, so the light switches in the corridor do not work.

Having grown up in the Hunsrück, I have been a big fan of this beautiful region for many years. Not far from my home, I can switch off extremely well here and recover from the stress of everyday life. The unique nature in the area between the Rhine and Moselle contrasts with overcrowded cities and busy roads.
As an ambitious recreational athlete and triathlon coach, I particularly appreciate the region around Mastershausen. Here you will find well-developed roads without heavy traffic, ideal for daily training by bike. There are also kilometres of running routes and plenty of fresh air and peace and quiet.
What has cleared my head for years and improved my performance as an athlete is something I want to make accessible to others. The house in Mastershausen was therefore completely renovated to be energy-efficient and converted into a flexible and fully equipped holiday home in 2020 thanks to an intelligent room layout.
Mastershausen in Hunsrück, the holiday and hiking village of Mastershausen, looks back on 950 years of history and today has an intact and modern infrastructure with around 1000 inhabitants. The village is centrally located in the front Hunsrück in the river triangle of Moselle and Rhine.

Nature One - music festival Distance to Haus Däschinger approx. 12 km journey time 13 min
The Nature One Festival has been known worldwide for many years as one of the biggest open-air festivals for electro music. The event usually takes place every year on the first weekend in August at the former Pydna missile base in the Hunsrück region. The Mecca of electro music is located on a 100-hectare field just outside the small community of Hasselbach. During the event, around 40,000 campers transform the site into what is probably the largest campsite in Germany. The festival is also famous for its unique laser show.

Balduinseck Castle
Distance to Haus Däschinger approx. 3 km
The listed Balduinseck Castle is located between Buch and Mastershausen. The ruins of a hilltop castle date back to the Middle Ages. It was built by Archbishop Balduin von Luxemburg of Trier between 1325 and 1330 as a provincial castle. The square, four-storey castle measures 22.70 metres x 14.50 metres and was built to withstand a possible siege. After the castle was no longer used, it fell into disrepair before restoration work began in 2007. The massive building is impressive even from a distance. The castle is one of the highlights of the beautiful circular hike "Masdascher Burgherrenweg". It is also the 20th stage of the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig hiking trail.
