Mountain Mama - Cozy Cabin Close to Glacier Park

Escape to your private Montana retreat! This cozy 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom cabin sits on 4.5 acres of land surrounded by mature trees, offering peace, privacy, and a true mountain getaway. Just a short drive from Glacier National Park, it’s the perfect base for exploring the natural beauty of the area.

Relax on the spacious deck, complete with grills and a gas fire pit—ideal for summer cookouts or stargazing nights under the Big Sky. Inside, you’ll find a cozy, well-equipped space with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Whether you’re looking for adventure in the great outdoors or a quiet place to unwind, this Montana cabin delivers the best of both worlds.


For our guests safety, we do have 2 exterior cameras on the outside of the house and 2 on the garage. We like to stay informed with the activity of the wild life on the property, possible weather elements including fires and other precautionary measures to make sure you have a safe and relaxing stay.

There is a $100 Pet Fee. Please make sure to add your pet to your reservation.

Well organized and maintained property.Home was spacious and kitchen had everything we needed. Large Great room with floor to vaulted ceiling windows look out over backyard and woods. Deck had nice propane fire pit to wind down the day. Very private. Short drive to West GNP entrance. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

The listing does not tell the whole story. The house was set off the road and very secluded. Very comfortable. the kitchen was the best stocked kitchen we have ever encountered. I would stay there the next time as it is very convenient to the west entrance to the park. You are responsible for removing your trash but the community drop off is 5 minutes away.

The location to Glacier was pretty good. About 12 minutes away. Lots of train & highway noise, despite the remote location. The inside was very clean and comfortable. The outdoor firepit we could not get to light, despite trying two different propane tanks and two different methods of igniting it. Perhaps there is a problem with the gas line? No s'mores for us. Disappointing. The gas grill has no bottom to it or any way to collect grease. Seems like a fire hazard for both the wooden decking and the wooden siding. The owners did not seem concerned. We opted not to use it as it seemed dangerous, this resulted in a disappointing grilling night. There is a charcoal grill with charcoal & lighter fluid also available, but after hiking all day and wanting a quick grilled dinner, a charcoal grill wasn't really what we had in mind. There is a TV but no remote and no directions for use. Likewise for the fireplace which provides the only heat. The pilot light was out & it was difficult to figure out how to take apart and start. Be aware the owners do not have garbage service, so you are expected to take all your garbage off site to a garbage disposal site, this makes your last day very complicated if you have an early morning flight.

This property was absolutely gorgeous and in an extremely convenient location for all of our activities! I especially liked how the kitchen cabinets were labeled and the variety of utensils available. My friends and I love to cook so that was a huge plus for us. The yard and fire pit area are very well maintained. There were 6 of us total and we found it to be more than enough space. Our only complaint was with prior vacationers who left the grills in very messy condition and grease-filled pans in the oven (thankfully we checked before preheating!). Overall, not a major disruption to our trip but we could not use the grills because of it, which was a shame. Both a propane and charcoal grill are provided and the deck would be a great place to have a real cookout.

Smiling at Mt. Mama

Everything at this mountain cabin was very much to our liking! The distance to Glacier NP was a big factor for us, and all that was required was a 15-minute drive to the west entrance. All our needs were well-met in this rental from grill to firepit to comfy beds. Best of all, our early riser(grandma)saw a lovely doe with her twin fawns stroll through the yard one morning! Thank you for a wonderful home base away from our home in Colorado!!

Awesome place

Very cool property close to glacier West gate. Awesome yard for doggos and humans to hang out in. Beautifully appointed. Lots of nice touches with wall art and posters. Just very well done. Probably one of the nicest VRBO properties we've stayed in. Thanks for a great stay.

The best Montana experience

This warm and cozy cabin was the perfect way to immerse ourselves in this beautiful area. It is convenient to the airport, parks, and a wide variety of restaurants. It was very comfortable for 3 adult siblings. We especially loved the fireplace and amazing wooded views.

Best rental I’ve ever stayed in

I would highly recommend this property!!! First of all, it is dog-friendly and that’s nice to be able to take our pupper with us. Because it is pet-friendly, I was worried about the cleanliness of the property, as other pet-friendly properties I’ve been in are a little bit run-down and questionable. THIS IS THE CLEANEST RENTAL I HAVE EVER BEEN IN. There was absolutely no evidence of previous occupants. I commend the owners and their cleaners because cleanliness is everything to me. The cabin has a very welcoming feel, and somehow doesn’t feel like you’re intruding into someone else’s space like other VRBOs I’ve stayed in. Location is perfect if you want to be away from crowds but close to attractions. Very close to the west entrance of Glacier Park. Very close to Hungry Horse Reservoir and a boat rental just down the street, which I highly recommend. Hungry Horse Reservoir was beautiful and not crowded at all. The cabin is surrounded by forest, no other cabins in sight, so you feel remote. However it is located right off Hwy 2, which makes it convenient to go places. The highway is a little noisy during the day, but quiet at night for a peaceful sleep. Usually at the end of a vacation I am very eager to get home. I can honestly say this is the first place I did NOT want to leave. 10/10 will be staying here again.

Minnesota traveling friends

Owners were very responsive and easy to work with. We had issues that were out of there control. They had a repair man out asap. Beautiful home. Spacious, clean and well taken care of. Private yard surrounded by trees and close to everything. Kitchen is well stocked dishes, pots and pans, baking sheets, coffee pot, blender, crock pot, ect. Bathroom had penty of towels and wash cloths. Comfortable furniture and beds. Would definitely rent from you again.
