Lovely Host and Location, But Lacking in Basics
We had a nice stay and really appreciated the locationâquiet, private, and close to town with plenty to do. The hosts were kind and responsive, and their recommendations helped us enjoy our time in Cape Cod.That said, the home could use some improvements. The kitchen was very minimally stockedâonly four bowls, limited silverware, no cooking spray or oven mittsâso we had to wash dishes often. We were also only given three towels for the three of us. While we couldâve asked for more, we found ourselves needing to request several basic items weâd normally expect to be provided.The downstairs AC worked well, but the upstairs unit struggled to cool the rooms. There was no beach gear available; the hosts kindly lent an umbrella, but it didnât include a stand. A set of guest beach supplies would be helpful.Cleanliness was the biggest concern. We encountered many bugsâespecially in the basementâand found dead ones under the bed. Cobwebs and spiders made the space feel less cared for.Overall, the hosts were lovely, and the location is great. With more attention to cleanliness, guest supplies, and cooling, this could be an excellent stay.
