EV charger and Starlink. The guest house is located within 300 feet of the unique stone house of Mariposa where the host lives. This “Gateway to Yosemite” is only 50 minutes from the park.

When you want somewhere beautiful, luxurious and homely that’s in a quiet mountainous neighborhood near nothing but nature and the quiet, this is your home. It is a 2 story home with designer aesthetics and basic needs for a quiet retreat.

The guest house is within 300 feet of the unique stone house of Mariposa, where the host lives. You`ll have the surrounding area, including the fire pit, private pond, and many hiking trails. You can use the carport to park away from the elements!

* Access to hiking trails is limited due to the 2023 winter storm. We are working hard to restore it by cleaning fallen trees. You will be still able to go hiking, but not all of the trails are accessible.

Host lives in the neighborhood and if needed can be available. Best way to communicate is by sending Airbnb messages.

To get around the neighborhood and between Oakhurst, Mariposa and Yosemite National Park you will need a car. There is no public transportation or taxi transportation in the area that can replace car transportation and getting to the house.

Yosemite National Park South Gate Entrance in Fish Camp is 1 h drive from Lovers nest. Yosemite Entrance located in El Portal where Yosemite Valley is located takes 1 h drive. Travel times get longer during weekend rush hours and holidays.

The property is not fully fenced and is located in a secluded place. All of the soundings of Yosemite National Park including urban areas have the component of wildlife. Some of the local animals that can be observed on a daily basis include deer, turkeys, squirrels, hawks, and rabbits. Not as common animals to see but living in the area are coyotes, bears, mountain lions, raccoons, opossum, skunk, rattlesnakes, tarantulas, and scorpions. Poison oak and poison ivy are also elements of local flora.

All of California including the Sierra Nevada area is seasonally experiencing wildfires which are natural occurrences in the area. Some of the species like sequoias need fire to reproduce. Wildfires are likely to happen between June and November.
1. Maximum 4 people, after 2 guests $50 per person per night.
2. Quiet hours from 10:00 pm - 8:00 am,
3. Dogs need to be added to reservation prior to stay. Pets additional fee $150 per stay. Maximum 1 pet. You have to pick poo after your animal.
4. No cancelations due to smoke or air quality under 200 (AirNow dot gov).
5. $500 cleaning fee for smoking detected inside the property or glass detected inside the spa.
