Ups: The staff is to be commended, really helpful and well mannered personell. Very fast service upon requests. The impression is that they actually do what they can to make you enjoy your stay. Rare find these days even at five star hotels.
Downs: The standard rooms are kinda small. If you're 5'11" or taller you might have problem to fit in to bed and even bathroom. For two persons it's really tight. There ought to be water kettles in the rooms.
WiFi worked okay but there were connection disruptions for mobile data.
For noise sensitive guests: It's not that quiet a place. First night people in the adjacent bldg were up drinking and talking until 1:30am, clearly audible even to the hotel. Sounds from corridors are also clearly tangible (but, this is as you know, normal for almost all hotels anywhere). The aircon is really audible, but in this case it's actually a little good since it will reduce the sound of uneven noises. And I'd rather hear that rough humming sound of the aircon than uneven ones.
The area: Well, if you have things to do around San Lazaro and Winford, then it's fit. Else not much to do there. There are no real restaurants and shops around the place. After dark you might need to mind your step. Not many street lights and some slightly sus people roaming.
Great service from the staff, they surely put in a lot of effort to please their guests.
Only thing I could say is, the exterior of the property needs to be washed. Noise from the exterior motorist, dogs that are 24/7 in the cage next door barks a lot. I feel sorry for them. I just know that the hotel has no control over the noise. Overall, the staff did a great job!!!!
We weren't informed that the hotel is a quarantine facility. The pictures were also kind of misleading like what the rooms would look like. There were also cockcroaches. But I commend the receptionists' hospitality.
All the staff are friendly but the amenities are terrible. No running hot water, no microwave oven, not enough parking space inside the building and not even street parking.
