TrĂšs bon hĂŽtel pas cher

Chambre propre, grande, excellente pression dans la douche. Thé et café dans la chambre et machine à capsule dans le couloir. Petit déjeuné trÚs copieux et varié (fruits frais, céréales, toasts à volonté + english breakfast complet) On est arrivé trop tard pour dßner (la cuisine était déjà fermée à 21h30) mais on a bu un verre au pub au rez-de-chaussée qui n'a pas vraiment de "caractÚre" ni de "cachet" mais convient trÚs bien. Situé vers le port, parking (gratuit la nuit jusqu'à 8h) à proximité Je recommande vivement.

Brilliantly situated near the Cobb, beaches, car parks and all Lyme Regis has to offer. Comfy rooms, separate guest entrance, very lovely breakfasts. Lovely staff in restaurant at breakfast. Great two night stay.

Charming place!

Charming inn house in a great location. Easily walkable to most of town and the beaches. We visited mid-week in September, so we had no trouble finding parking in the nearby pay and display lot. There's no a/c, so you will want to keep the windows open. I can imagine it could get noisy in the high season, but we were not bothered for our visit. Overall, I would recommend it.

A really friendly, welcoming pub - and good value for money in Lyme. Food is very good, staff really friendly, any problems resolved quickly with good grace. Would recommend to anyone for a comfy stay.

Situation and food both e cells t. Arrived around six, cold and damp, obviously came as a big surprise to the bar staff. Several room keys on the board, told them - to my husband’s embarrassment - we’d paid for the better bedroom on the booking website. There was no guarantee of a sea view in doing this, but we were hoping. After a phone call we were taken to a pleasant room overlooking a side street, and the bins. Neither the radiator in our bedroom or in the bathroom worked. Scrambled under the covers to get warm, rested for a while before walking round the town. Asked a member of the bar staff if we could have the radiator in the bedroom turned on. She said she’d look into it. Pub crammed with happy diners, food looked great, decided we’d eat there the following evening. Came back to a cold bedroom. Breakfast perfect, hot, freshly cooked, high quality produce. Out for the day, intending to return for dinner, knowing last food orders taken at 9. A couple arrived 8.30 ish and were told food service was over. We had a drink instead. Pub packed up around us as diners left, returned to the cold bedroom, had a bath to warm up.

We had a good stay at the Cobb arms. The staff are very nice and the breakfast was lovely. Very convenient location. Beds were small and not very comfortable.

Robbery at broad daylight - find et andet sted

Vi boede her et par nÊtter sidst i juli 2024. Det koster £155 pr. overnatning, hvilket er tyveri, da service og faciliteter ikke er i orden. Hotellet er under ny ledelse - vi var her for 5 Är siden. Det stÄr virkelig slemt til nu. FÞrst, vi havde bestilt et vÊrelse med 2 enkeltsenge, da en af os sover meget uroligt. Dette kunne vi ikke fÄ (ledelsen beskyldte Hotels.com) for manglende opdatering. I stedet fik vi en lille dobbeltseng pÄ 140 cm (bred). Af denne grund fik jeg kun et par timers sÞvn hver nat. Opgangen - stejl trappe til vÊrelserne - lufter fÊlt af stegefedt. KÞkkenet ligger i stueetagen og de har altid dÞren Äbent ud til denne trappe og baggÄrden (jeg vil mene, at sundhedsmyndighederne skal ind over dette). Ulig andre steder, sÄ udbyder dette sted kun morgenmad kl. 9-10. Vi afprÞvede 4 forskellige fra menuen de to dage, vi var der. Alle retterne var utroligt dÄrlige. VÊrelset: wifi fungerer ikke, sÄ dette bÞr ogsÄ fjernes fra deres profil. Tv virker ikke/gÄr ud hele tiden pga. dÄrligt wifi. Gammelt, slidt gulvtÊppe. Virkelig billig dyne. BadevÊrelset: meget dÄrligt aflÞb i brusekabinen = fodbad. Ingen toiletpapirholder - papir stÄr pÄ radiator osv. Ingen toiletspand. Der var ingen opredning, udskiftning af hÄndklÊder og mere kaffe/te pÄ 2. dagen. Dette mÄtte vi bede om kl. 18 om aftenen! Der er prisskilte overalt - noget er gÄet helt galt for dem. BemÊrk, at deres vand er stÊrkt klorholdigt, sÄ pÄregn at kÞbe kildevand til egen kaffe pÄ vÊrelset.

Lovely stay with really friendly staff.

We booked this hotel using clubcard vouchers, it was handy to find a place to stay in the centre of Lyme Regis which allowed dogs to stay. The location was brilliant and we loved being able to park the car up the road and leave it there so we could enjoy the beautiful town. The absolutely best thing about our stay was the service as everyone was so friendly, welcoming and couldn't be more helpful. The breakfast was wonderful, very tasty with generous portions. The way they cooked the tomatoes especially was delicious! We loved having a view of the harbour while we ate. The room was nice - very clean and attractive. We slept well. I liked how there was enough tea and milk for more than one drink each. I would suggest the bathroom needs a modern update at some point, plus a shelf for your toiletries and it would be lovely to have clean windows as it's not a bad view from room 1. It was great that the windows opened for fresh air. We'll definitely come back again.

Very friendly welcome - most convenient for other event of our visit. Room was cold on arrival, but warmed by the time we returned. Evening food adequate, but made up for by very friendly staff.

We had a great stay at The Cobb Arms, the staff were really welcoming and helpful. They were obviously in the midst of decorating some of the hall areas, so they were a bit untidy for good reasons. The bed was very comfortable and the bottled water was a nice touch. Just to be a bit pedantic - the secondary glazing doesn't fit in the bedroom or the bathroom so the curtains/blind wave in the wind! The room was cold on our first day so had to request heating be put on. The day we left there was no heating at all which was invigorating in November! I had scallops in the restaurant which were fantastic - and the breakfasts were delicious. The chef deserves a big shiny gold star!!!

Two night November stay with our dog

We stayed at the Cobb Arms with our dog for a couple of nights in November. The things we really liked: the staff were very friendly and helpful; the room was clean and comfortable; the beer (Palmers) was excellent; the food in the evening was good and definitely a cut above normal pub grub; the breakfasts were generous and the vegetarian breakfast we had on our second morning was delicious; our dog was made welcome; the pub was well situated being right by the Cobb itself. The things we liked less: there's no on site parking so we parked in a large pay and display car park about 10 minutes walk away up a pretty steep hill (we didn't mind the hill but it definitely wouldn't suit everyone), we paid ÂŁ9 a day for this, which would be more expensive in the summer months; breakfast is served between 9 and 10, which is too late if you are planning an early start for a day's walking. Apart from these couple of negatives we really enjoyed our stay.

Cobb stay

Stayed just one night for a mini break. Great spot by the Cobb. Above a pub but didn’t have any issues with noise at all. A few stairs to rooms but again no problem. Very comfy bed.Great breakfast served by a very attentive and friendly young man called Adam. Will happily stay again.

Pros:Nice room, lovely friendly staff and a fantastic breakfast. Bar’s quirky and different really liked it. Hallway and stairs under renovation but looking good. Convenient location right on waters edge Cons: No Wi-Fi, no car park and council car park charges aren’t cheap although free after 9pm in summer and after 6pm in winter. Very nearly got a ticket
