Tucked away on a peaceful mountainside near Luray, this cozy two-bedroom cottage is the perfect retreat for your Shenandoah Valley getaway. Surrounded by natural beauty, you’ll be just 20 minutes from the breathtaking Luray Caverns and only 30 minutes from the Thornton Gap entrance to Shenandoah National Park. For outdoor fun, Shenandoah River Outfitters is within walking distance, offering kayaking, canoeing, and tubing adventures on the river.

We’re a dog-friendly property, so your furry companion is welcome to join your getaway! A $60 flat pet fee applies per stay (not per night).

After a day of exploring, unwind by the warm electric fireplace or settle in for a movie night on the smart TV. Stay connected with free WIFI, or enjoy some friendly competition with games for the whole group. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals, including a stove, oven, refrigerator, grill, cookware, and dining essentials.

From the beginning our stay was exactly what we were hoping for. The cabin was small but cozy with good sized room spaces. The electric fireplace was fantastic and made the living room feel super welcoming. We mainly cooked at the cabin for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and it was well stocked with all the pots, pans, and utensils we needed. The owners kept in contact with us throughout our stay and made check in and check incredibly easy. The town of Luray was welcoming and easy to find things to do. We had dinner at a fantastic little Mexican restaurant and checked out the caverns on one of our adventures out. All in all the stay was fantastic and now that we know how close the river is, we’re looking forward to going back when the weather is warmer. The only thing I can say to people visiting while there are still snow and ice on the ground — if you’re a hiker make sure you bring gear that is safe for those conditions. We are enthusiast hikers but unfortunately didn’t have gear to do the hikes we wanted safely. We will definitely be back to do those also!

Wedding Weekend

We attended a wedding at the Westcott House on Saturday and stayed at the delightful Moonlight Memories for the weekend. It was super close to the venue which was perfect for us since my husband was officiating the wedding. The cabin was perfect, had everything we needed. David and Becky were perfect hosts and very responsive. We definitely would recommend it to anyone who was planning a weekend retreat near Luray. Thanks for a great weekend. Bob, Donna, and Haley.

Much needed break!

Wonderful retreat from a busy life! The cabin was immaculately cleaned and ready for us. We had forgotten a few items and were so pleased our hosts had happened to have those items ready! All the things we just didn't think of, they had available for us. We had such a wonderful time and were so grateful that we could bring our dogs. We would definitely love to return!!

The cabin was a perfect spot for a weekend getaway with our little family of four. A short drive from the caverns, it was a quiet spot to eat, snuggle in front of the TV, and play provided boardgames with the kids. Our 8-year-old thought the loft was magical, and my spouse and I appreciated a well-stocked kitchen, ice cold window AC units, and a clean space. Our old pup was even happy with the accomodations and the provided "dog sheet" to allow him couch time. We also were extremely pleased to have simple and reasonable check-out procedures. We won't hesitate to check this cabin out first for availability when we're back in the area!

Lovely place

Ideal location for a couple, or a couple with 1 or 2 small children. Remote (quiet) location with easy access to the Shenandoah river, Luray, or Shenandoah National Park. Host is very attentive to details.

This is great little cabin for a stay in Shenandoah. It's just across the road from Shenandoah River Outfitters and only 15 minutes from groceries. Perfect for a long weekend on the river and in the park.

Great location

My family and I enjoyed this cabin so much. Excellent location to do many outdoor adventures close by. The cabin has the essentials for cooking. Make sure to bring your own spices and containers to store any extra food. Grill area was our favorite spot. It was very easy to communicate with Becky and David.

Cozy family retreat

My husband and I brought our two kiddos for a fun family weekend in Shenandoah. The cabin was perfect for our family and we had a great time. Our hosts were super friendly and helpful. Everything we needed was in the cabin! Secluded and peaceful but easy to get to SNP and sites in Luray.

The location of the cabin was perfect. The inside was decorated in cabin decor. The bedding with the moose and the bears was cute. The only problem we had was the bath tub leaked and the flower grips for to make the tub non slip didn't work.

Christmas holiday

We enjoyed our stay . Place was clean and had everything we needed for basic cooking. We knew what to bring as for spices and other cooking ingredients. Checkin was easy as was checking out. The bathtub does need some handles to hold on . All and all, it was a very nice stay and I would recommend it .

Good overall, but...

House was suitable and the right price for the two of us on an anniversary trip to Luray; however, the marketing is a bit skewed. House is most definitely a 'house' and not a 'cabin'; though, it has wood planking on outside. Property not secluded, as it is somewhat close to the road and the neighbor 100' away next door left out a barking rotweiler most of first night at the house, There was also no water view to be seen from the house. House is quite small, as well; just be aware. Overall good experience.

Charming cabin in Shenandoah Valley

Wow, this charming cabin was perfect. We were coming back from Hatteras, and wanted to stay in Shenandoah Valley as it was a good 1/2 way point home. The cabin was very clean, comfortable, everything that you needed. Especially the outdoor fire pit. We had a beautiful evening star gazing, and hearing the night noises of the woods. Would definately will be back for a much longer stay.

Moonlight Memories

Had great time at Moonlight Memories- lovely 1 bedroom with extra loft bed that was perfect for getaway weekend. Becky was great host and very responsive. Cabin was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Really enjoyed coffee on covered front porch and grilling area with picnic table and fire pit. In town for race and enjoyed close proximity to the town of Luray, Shenandoah River Park and Skyline drive. Would highly recommend Will be back! Nancy
