Tucked directly along the South Fork of the Shenandoah River, The Riversâ Loft is our little slice of peace in Luray. Itâs the kind of place where mornings are slow with coffee on the deck, days are spent out on the river, and evenings end around the firepit under the stars.
Highlights:
âąTrue riverfront setting right outside your door
âąSleeps 6 with 2 king beds and 1 queen
âąWaterfront firepit and wraparound deck
âą5 kayaks, 1 canoe, and life vests included
âąFully stocked kitchen for easy meals and charcoal grill
âąStarlink Wi-Fi and Roku smart TVs
âą13 minutes to Luray (Caverns, dining, Walmart, and grocery stores)
The cabin sits just above the river and has that cozy, relaxed feel we fell in love with years ago. Inside, youâll find comfortable spaces to unwind, two gas fireplaces, and everything you need to settle in and feel at home.
The wraparound deck is one of our favorite spots. Whether itâs coffee in the morning, grilling dinner in the evening, or just sitting and listening to the river, itâs hard to beat the view.
If you love being outside, youâre in the right place. You can paddle, float, or fish right from the property, or start upriver and float your way back to the cabin. At night, the sky really shows off, no city lights, just stars.
The cabin offers a peaceful, rural setting without feeling isolated. While tucked along the river, there are neighboring cabins nearby, so itâs quiet and relaxing but not completely secluded.
While it feels tucked away, youâre still close to everything:
âą13 minutes to Luray (Caverns, dining, Walmart, and grocery stores)
âą15 minutes to Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive
Pet Friendly:
Weâre dog people, so your four-legged family members are welcome here too. No pet fees.
Good to Know Before You Book:
âąThe cabin is elevated and does require stairs
âąYouâll be in a natural setting, so insects and wildlife are part of the experience
âąCell service can be limited depending on your carrier, but Starlink Wi-Fi is reliable for streaming, calls, and messaging
âąRiver conditions can vary with weather and seasons; please use caution when swimming or floating
Road & Access:
âąThe main and secondary roads are paved, but the final stretch is gravel or packed dirt
âąThere is a hill leading down to the cabin and back up when leaving
âąUnder normal conditions, standard vehicles (including sedans) are fine
âąLow-profile cars and motorcycles are not recommended
Weather Advisory:
âąDuring snow, ice, or heavy rain, road conditions can change and access may be more difficult
âąIn some cases, 4WD or tire chains may be needed
âąIn the event of a major snowstorm or flooding, the road may be temporarily impassable
âąWe always recommend travel insurance just in case, and weâre happy to work with guests on rescheduling if needed
