This listing is one suite inside A12 Suites, a reimagined 1970s landmark boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Louisville. There are 10 different suites in this building. With other groups potentially in the building during your stay, you'll have full privacy inside your suite plus access to common areas like the elevator, both stairwells, and the lobby.



Step into Gallant Fox, the Basement Maiden Suite carrying Louisville's bourbon-country roots. Named for the 1930 Triple Crown winner, the second horse ever to sweep the Derby, Preakness, and Belmont, and the sire of the sport's only other father-son Triple Crown champion, Omaha, five years later. The palette is Turkish coffee throughout, deep and warehouse-worn, echoing the charred oak barrels aging in the rickhouses along the Louisville riverfront. Original artwork honors Gallant Fox's storied run: trainer "Sunny Jim" Fitzsimmons and jockey Earl Sande in the winner's circle, the roar of "Sande, Sande, Sande" that followed him into legend, and the shocking upset to 100 to 1 long shot Jim Dandy at the Travers Stakes that same year, a reminder that even champions have their off days. One bedroom, two queen-over-king bunks, one full bath, no in-suite kitchen, a bunkroom with a small seating area for unwinding after a day on the town. Tucked behind a hidden Dover Blue freight-elevator wall door off The Provisions Hall, our basement-level NHS Speakeasy + Game Room features a pool table, games, a custom bar, lounge seating, a chef's kitchen, and a large group dining and conference table. The Industrial-Prohibition aesthetic is perfect for game nights, private dinners, bourbon tastings, and after-hours gatherings.



🎨 All artwork throughout the building was done by a single artist and is on loan from a private collection.

This is a self-guided stay. We won't be available in person, but our team is reachable through the booking platform's messaging tools for anything you need before, during, or after your stay.
