It was a perfect spot for us to stay, it was very clean, had a washer and dryer which was nice. Also we were about at most 30 min away from anything we wanted to do. The hosts were also good with information.

The pictures were accurate and it was good for 2 night. Check in was easy. Sent a message to property manager and never received a response. It is by the railroad tracks so it was noisy at night.

This VRBO had everything we needed for the trip. The furniture looked good but was a little uncomfortable. The only thing that was hard for us was the street noise and train noise. It was so loud we ended up buying earplugs. Not the hosts fault, they communicated quickly and we did not have any issues with them. Worth staying just be prepared for the sounds.

Power did not work in much of the house. We contacted the hosts immediately and did not hear back from them during our stay. I was disappointed in the communication and the fact that we had no light in the bathroom one of the bedrooms the refrigerator didn’t work. The stove didn’t work, and the microwave didn’t work due to power. The most bothersome was the fact the hosts failed to respond to phone calls, text messages or messages via the VRBO app..

Overall was a good stay, however we had questions about if the sheets in one of the bedrooms had been washed/cleaned since they were just sitting in a ball on the bed. When we reached out to the owners/property manager we received NO response from them. The towels were also still wet in the washer had not been dried or folded yet. The Wifi was always hit or miss. Had to restart the device multiple times in order to get it to load. This property is also located close to train tracks and while the trains in the area do not use their horns the noise from the wheels on the tracks woke us up througout the night. The neighborhood has lots of food options within walking distance.

Great location

Comfortable, and in an excellent location. It has a full kitchen and washer/dryer which is perfect for a lengthier stay. They only drawback was communication from the property manager was less proactive or responsive than others.

This is character limited with far less than it takes for this review so I'm leaving much out. This was by far the worst VRBO experience we've ever had. Came to Louisville with another couple to go to Churchill downs, which was great. When we got to the rental, the lock was wonky but after multiple tries we got in. The place is very basically equipped. The faucet in the shower is not attached to the wall. We went to Churchill, returned at 9:30 and the wonky lock would not open. We worked on it for 20 min then I called the host with no response. I messaged him. No response. We worked on the door and over the next 1 1/2hours I called 10x and messaged 10x, no response. Tried the help features on VRBO, no help. At 11:30 we left and got a hotel for the night. In the am we got a real person on VRBO who after 30 min said he had nothing and we should call the police. We went back to the rental and worked on the lock more, no help. A long term Tennant finally saw us and called the landlord (same guy I was calling) who sent a manager who got there the same time as the locksmith we called so we finally got in and got our stuff out. The landlord and manager said things about a refund and covering the hotel but in the 2 weeks we've been back, again multiple messages and calls have been ignored. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS GUY. Also, if you have problems you will get no help from VRBO. Good luck.

Bourbon Trail Vacay

This apartment worked great as a “home base” for our Bourbon Trail adventure. Many distilleries were located within an hour of Louisville. The apartment is clean, updated, and equipped with the bare necessities. Frankfurt Street offered many fun dining options. The apartment building itself is older, and is located near a busy street and railroad, so city sounds abound! While the area seemed safe enough, there were a few aspects of the building that left us feeling a bit vulnerable. Overall, a positive experience.

Extra stay after conference

This is a cute, walk up apartment which is really quiet even though it’s between two restaurants. There is also a Walgreens next door and there is a Kroger a 15-minute walk away through a cute neighborhood to grab coffee/food supplies. There are a large number of restaurants along the street. However, all but two are closed on Mondays (as far as we could tell). So if you plan to eat downtown or in Nulu do it on a Monday! I would certainly stay here again.

Great apartment and location but poor communication

The apartment itself was lovely! Just like the pictures and had everything we needed. The wifi didn’t work at first and we couldn’t find the bath towels. We got the wifi working and found the towels in the dryer, but the hosts never responded to our messages about the issues.

Quick stay

Nicely renovated and furnished condo. Could use a few amenities as other places provide, ie: a measuring cup for coffee, more than 1 roll of toilet paper and a place to hang your towels. We had the unfortunate luck of arriving during a snowstorm and experienced some issues with the heating but David was responsive to our questions and we understand the problems that come with an older property.
