Getting Around:

● Drive, bike, or walk within the community. You will need a car to go anywhere outside of the community. Uber and taxi cabs are available in the area, but can have long wait times or be difficult to find.

● We strongly recommend that you travel in a AWD/4WD vehicle. We are located in the mountains and roads can be slick and poorly maintained.



Other Things to Note:

The rental agreement will be sent to you once the reservation is accepted. Your booking is only confirmed once it is signed. Kindly complete it within 24 hours to secure your reservation.



● This property can host a maximum of 8 guests, including children and infants, per the local governing regulations.



Guests are expected to register with Emerald Lakes. Wander Home will process the registration for all renters.

● Registration and/or bookings finalized less than 48 hours of arrival will include a $200 community processing charge, in accordance with community policy. This charge will be collected separately through the booking platform.



Optional community amenities passes are available for purchase at the community office for an additional charge. Children 2 years old and under are free. Fees are as follows:

● 1-day pass - $20 per person

● 3-day pass - $30 per person

● 7-day pass - $50 per person



Please note, these fees are not set by us as hosts. They are established by the community and apply to all guests. These charges help cover the costs of operating and maintaining the many great amenities and facilities available during your stay.

SAUNA:

LAKES AND BEACHES (summer):

● Open from dawn to dusk beginning June 12th.

● Swim at your own risk. No lifeguards on duty.



Access to the Emerald Lakes community amenities (such as the pool, lake, beach, etc.) is managed by the HOA and is subject to change without notice. Availability, operating hours, and reservation requirements are outside of our control. We recommend checking the official community website or calling their direct office phone number for the most up-to-date information before your stay.



Wander Home welcomes guests with fully verified profiles. Please upload your government-issued ID and payment method in your account settings, as well as send us a photo of your ID.



Eligible refunds are subject to a 6% processing fee.



A damage waiver fee ($40) is included for all reservations.



Given the rural setting of the property, occasional sightings of ants, spiders, flying insects, and mice may occur despite our year-round pest control efforts. We strive to manage these encounters to the best of our ability, but cannot guarantee that the house will be completely pest free.



NOTE: We provide enough essential items to cover stays of about 2-3 nights. If you need more supplies during your stay, you can visit one of the following nearby stores: ShopRite, Weis Market, ALDI.



We do our best to ensure there is propane available for grills and/or fire pits, but cannot guarantee there will be propane for use throughout your stay. If all available tanks are empty, we ask that you refill a tank and provide a receipt for reimbursement. Note: be sure to refill/replace the existing tanks - do not purchase a brand new tank.



When drought, weather or other conditions present an unusual fire risk, a burn ban may be imposed by the community without prior notice.



A fishing license is needed by PA for anyone 16 and older. The community also needs an Emerald Lake Fishing License, which can be acquired at the office. Any fish caught must be released back into the lake.

● 1 doorbell camera at the main entry door

● 1 floodlight camera on the left side of the house at the driveway

● 2 additional security cams on trees - 1 in front yard and 1 in rear yard

● We are here for you during your stay, but our level of interaction is up to you. We are only a phone call or message away. You and your party will be able to self-check-in upon arrival.

● Please remember that you are staying in a house, not a hotel. Please treat the space with respect. If any problems arise we will do our best to take action ASAP, but there is no one living on-site 24/7.
