Ocean-front Cedar Cabin, Horse/Dog friendly, Birdwatcher's paradise!

Discover the remoteness of Long Beach from this rural ocean front 2-bedroom house in the midsection of Long Beach Peninsula. With 2 queen beds, twin futon in the sun room and a large couch in the cozy living room/dining/kitchen lined in cedar, a wood stove and big screen TV with WIFI, this property offers a comfortable stay for all guests, kids and their dogs. Enjoy the convenience of amenities like outdoor hot tub, electric grill and firepit (1st night's wood provided), sun/mud room with washer dryer and laundry tub, full size kitchen and dining for 6. Go beachcombing, clamming, fishing or just hanging out on the beach via our private path. Listen to the sound of the waves at night without noise from neighbors or traffic and watch the planets, stars and milky way come out in the dark. Bald Eagles are a daily visitor to our property and they and numerous other birds can be seen with our spotting scope from the comfort of the living room or along the numerous paths on the property.

We are halfway between Ocean Park and Long Beach. There are grocery stores in both towns. Willapa Bay Wildlife refuge is 3 miles away, Ledbetter State Park and Cape Disappointment are 6 miles away. Lewis and Clark National Park is nearby. Other points of interest include Oysterville, Cranberry Museum, Oyster Farms, Kite museum, Columbia Pacific Heritage museum, Willapa heritage farms, Port of Ilwaco and charter fishing, Ilwaco Saturday Market, Marsh's museum, Jacks General Store and Discovery trail. 45 minutes away, across the Columbia River, are numerous activities and shopping in Astoria and Seaside.

Well behaved dogs are welcome. Please keep your pet leashed when outside the house as there is wildlife (bears, elk, coyote, bobcat, deer), livestock and other dogs on the property. Please clean up after your pet, especially in the yard, along paths and walkways and on the beach. Please crate your dogs if they are being left unattended at the house or leave them in the temperature controlled sunroom closed off to the rest of the house while you are gone. We have some crates available if needed. There is a hose and towels for cleaning up as needed after you have been to the beach. There are blankets in the sun room you can cover the furniture with if your dogs are prone to joining you on the couch.

There is parking near the house for up to three cars or an RV. There are electrical and water hookups but no sewer for RVs. There is a 50A outlet for electric vehicles. If you are bringing a horse, boat or vehicle trailer there is parking and turn around at the barn, about 500ft east of the house, please do not bring them up to the house. You can board your horses on our property or at the nearby RedBarn stable and use our private path for a ride on the beach. Two indoor 12 X 12 stalls and two outdoor 12 X 20' runs are available to rent on the property and eastern Oregon grass hay is available for purchase. Horse boarding fees are in addition to rental fees - please check with us for details before bringing horses.
