The location of this home was perfect, with easy access for walking on the beach. There are no homes directly in front of the house and it feels very private. While we really enjoyed our stay, we would probably look for a different home next time. The basement level was un-usable for us due to a strong musty odor. We also had trouble getting the fireplace to work and found the furniture in the living room a bit uncomfortable for gathering together as a family. The price seems to reflect these things, though, considering the rental is for a three bedroom and three bathroom house with a full kitchen.

I've come here over the years since I was a little kid. Long Beach, although a small town, will never get old. We did walk to the viewpoint and light house which I never did; it's beautiful no matter the weather conditions.

Quiet with great view and big deck. Only full size beds so a little small for couples. Bathrooms were stocked very well with everything full.Nice newer appliances and comfortable living room. We didn't use the downstairs.Plenty of room on the upper two floors.

Midweek Getaway

It was a very relaxing and pleaseant stay. Proximity to the beach made it easy to go down and enjoy beachcombing and the view. It was close enough to Long Beach to go and enjoy the shops and eateries within minutes. The house was clean, quiet and very well stocked woth essentials. We would recommend this house, it was a very reasonable rate for the overall value!

We had a lovely time, plenty of space between the 3 floors and 3 bathrooms. Big enough for all of us 8 but still small enough to be cozy. Short walk to the beach on a great maintained trail.

Nice Place With Privacy

Place was neat and clean. Somewhat musty when first entered. Solved by opening doors and windows. I have owned property on the beach before and have found this to be a common behavior. House is the only house on a gated lane. Lots of space!! Was very happy with being able to let the dog out, stay on the deck and not have to worry about disturbing the neighbors. Three floors worth of house with the associated number of stairs. Beds were comfortable. View from the front room and deck were expansive. Very close to Long Beach and all it has to offer. Will stay

Nice place but needs some upkeep

Check in was great. Fireplace did not work and Vacasa manager came and inspected it and we did get a small refund on this as it never worked. There were stains on the carpet, an orange slime mold in the upstairs shower. Some door handles to deck were loose and the deadbolt didn't work, downstairs door would not latch unless deadbolted from inside. There are some overall maintenance upkeep issues. I did notify the Vacasa manager who stated they would pass the issues on. Overall loved the living room and view to the ocean, nice location. TINY one person kitchen. Limited towels in the bathrooms we were using, if we had all 8 been there like originally planned, we would have had to look for them in the basement laundry/bathroom. Not a horrible stay, love the area, but won't use this home again.

The location was great, and views of the water were nice. The place is getting a little tired but worked well. We did have an issue with sugar ants, they were responsive to our concern but the place needs more than a couple of traps. the basement is musty.

Nice setting - but the house had issues

The house is nicely situated with just a few hundred yards of dune grass before the beach. Kitchen and living room and balconies were great. We loved opening the windows to hear the waves. Upstairs queen bedroom had squirrels in the ceiling that were particularly active between 1am and 5am, so we didn't get much sleep, unfortunately. Basement has a laundry room bathroom and a family room with a second TV, however, it smells so bad down there that we didn't use it at all. We tried to use the washing machine to start washing sheets as we left, but when it just screeches very loudly and didn't do anything. Good thing we didnt need it for our own clothes. The refrigerator froze our fresh fruits, veggies, and eggs, but the temperature was locked, so we couldn't increase it. We have kids and found that there was a large bowl full of matches just sitting out near the floor in the basement family room - major fire hazard, which we moved up high. Oddly when we arrived we found both a key box and an electronic lock on the door. The key box had the combo lock numbers showing the number that was needed to enter the house lock. That left us feeling like anyone could have found that and had access while we were out during the day. Not very comforting! Property manager talked about a refund due to the squirrels every night, but haven't seen anything happening with that yet.
