For the money, this was a reasonable overnight stay for us. The rooms are equipped with the basics. Bed was comfortable, washroom clean. Minimal towels and toiletries but basic needs taken care of. TV is tiny but has cable stations. It was a hot day (mini heat wave of 27 centigrade) and the rooms are not air conditioned. Something to consider if you plan to stay in the summer. Buffet breakfast was good value.

On intiak check in were allocated a room which was unsanitary and snelt of human waste. This was coming from a room near by in which the man was put in by the council. I went down to the reception and they knew what floor i was on by the sound of my voice. Yes they moved me, but we were there for a concert and wanted to get ready. The next room we were placed in, the plug sockets were not working. Again, asked to move. However as we were due to a concert we did not have time to mive again

Stay at a neighboring property

I’ve never left a negative review before, but for the business travel, this place was extremely dysfunctional.. The heat did not work, fan did not work, no toiletries except for a thin wash that smelled like dog shampoo. They directly refused to clean my room before the 7 day mark. (Trash and crumbles really add up after eating and working at the same tiny desk.) And if you rely on a hair dryer to tidy up before a business dinner, good luck. Twice I asked and they said they had none available in the entire hotel. Spend the extra $20 to stay at one of the many neighboring hotels.

I liked the price. I liked the cleanliness. I liked the proximity to the Conference Centre. I did not like the shower or the bathroom in general - too small. I would have preferred a better selection of British beers at the bar. The area near the hotel is quite boring- but to be expected at a new site. All in all though, I was pretty satisfied with the Hotel and will probably go back there if I am at the Excel again,

Völlig heruntergekommen, dreckig, heiß, laut und ekliges FrĂŒhstĂŒck. Dusche tropfte stĂ€ndig auf den Hahn der Badewanne, dadurch war tĂ€glich das Bad geflutet. Besteck, wenn welches da lag, verdreckt, jeden Tag fehlten mehrere Sachen an dem sehr ĂŒbersichtlichen Buffet. Einmal abends was bestellt, 1h auf 2 Pizzen gewartet, die dann eklig und fetttriefend waren. Die Betten waren ganz ok.

One concern: directions to the hotel are unclear, getting off the DLR in the dark, as a woman alone, was intimidating. Signs from the station would be helpful - or directions on the website....

Excellent Hotel - Perhaps Not For Very Hot Days?

Hotel is located 10 minutes walk from East side of Excel Conference center, 5 minutes walk from Royal Albert DLR station. Breakfast is excellent and included in the price of the hotel (eggs, bacon, sausages, hash browns, tomatoes, cereal and good coffee from an automated machine). Room is very good. Nice bed and clean. The only down side is the room gets hot. The days i was there it was between 25-28 and it was bearable but on days more than 30 it could be too hot. I however, was on the top 4th floor so perhaps its better on the lower floors.

Redelijk zakenhotel vlakbij London City Airport.

Goedkoop zakenhotel vlakbij London City Airport en Excel. Vliegtuigen en trein hoor je alleen overdag. Goede bedden, matig restaurant (geen mogelijkheid om op kamernummer te bestellen). Goede parkeermogelijkheid. Absoluut minpunt: je moet 3 pond per dag betalen voor wifi!!
