This was an extremely disappointing VRBO stay. I felt absolutely misled. I would not recommend to anyone else!I have never rated a property less than 5 stars before and have had great VRBO experiences when listings are accurate. Unfortunately, this one was not.The listing claims âsleeps 6â with 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms, but this is a lie: one room has a double bed, the other has a bunk bed (double bottom, twin top), and the living room only has a couch covered in unwashed-looking blankets, pillows, & stuffed animals (not 2 double beds as stated).â2 bathroomsâ actually means one room with a toilet and a separate room with a shower.The apt is cluttered with food, trinkets, and stuffed animals, and smelled damp. The stovetop was dirty. Towels were thin & rough, & linens were limited to fitted sheets and heavy comforters. The thermostat didnât work properly & the apt became uncomfortably hot at night.Communication was poor. Host used WhatsApp despite requests to use VRBO, initially sent info to the wrong number, & didnât respond during checkin when instructions were wrong; we spent 20 minutes outside in the rain trying wrong lockboxes.The building entrance was surrounded by OVERFLOWING trash. The location is not âdowntownâ & is a 16â18 minute walk to transit, not 9.There was dust throughout, no âgym/fitness equipmentâ as listed, and the washer/dryer was difficult to use, taking nearly 5 hours & locking while still hot.Shame on VRBO allowing this inaccurate listing.
