If your preference is for homes that are furnished in a traditional style and decorated elegantly, this first floor apartment in Pimlico is your ideal choice. Take the stairs from street level and you’ll reach an apartment brimming with homely touches that combine to create a warm and welcoming place for up to 4 guests to stay. The front door opens onto a hallway. To your left, the bathroom and two bedrooms, but let’s first head right to the:



LIVING ROOM AND DINING AREA

This beautifully presented space boasts floor to ceiling windows that let plenty of natural light in once you pull back the swag and tail curtains. A decorative fireplace and bookshelves lend an air of grace to a room with a distinctive and warming red colour theme, together with classic prints on the wall.



Comfortable upholstered armchairs and the sofa are arranged around the fireplace, giving you a fine place in which to relax with the papers, watch the television or perhaps catch up on your social media. There is also a dining table with four chairs, close to one of the windows. An ideal place to take breakfast, morning tea or any other meal during your day.



BALCONY

Accessed from the living room, your balcony gives you some outside space in which you can relax and enjoy the views of this smart area of London.



KITCHEN

Back inside, the apartment’s compact kitchen features an oven and stovetop, plus plenty of cabinet and fridge space in which to store your favourite foods. But with so many great places to eat in the local area, and with plenty of food delivery or take away options available, you may not need to use these appliances often! Still, it’s good to know they’re here.



2 BEDROOMS

If you’re planning a family weekend in the capital or a longer stay in London, the beds here are ideal for a family of 4. The main bedroom features a kingsize bed with the second being a twin. Both are located at the back of the house and reflect the traditional style of the rest of the apartment. You will also find plenty of spaces in which to store your belongings, so be sure to unpack when you arrive and make yourselves at home.



BATHROOMS

Your bathroom features an elegant tub that invites you to lie back and relax and let your worries float away. There is also a hand-held shower attachment you’re welcome to use, and quality towels will be provided by the A Place Like Home team.





THE LOCAL AREA

The apartment is located in Pimlico, which is just to the south of central London, close to the River Thames. The road on which you’ll be staying is lined with whitewashed residences with pillars in their entrances, giving the street a bright and distinguished look and feel.

It’s a great location from which to explore all of London (and much of England) as the major transport hub at Victoria is just a short walk away. Some of the attractions that can be easily reached from the apartment include:

Buckingham Palace – you’ll be able to call Her Majesty a near neighbour when you stay here, as it’s about a 10 minute walk to her London home.

The Royal Chelsea Hospital – this is the home of the famous Chelsea Pensioners, but also where, in the grounds, the Chelsea Flower Show is held.

The Houses of Parliament – the centre of the UK’s political system is close by too, as is Westminster Abbey.

GETTING AROUND

Staying here gives you a wealth of transport options. Pimlico tube station is nearby, as is London Victoria with its railway, bus and coach stations. Great swathes of London and southern England are easily accessible from the station, so too places even further afield. Perhaps you fancy catching a coach to Oxford for the day? Or you want a relaxing way to get to Manchester after your stay (another coach ride away). Choose the railways for fast trains to Gatwick Airport, Brighton, Hastings, Canterbury, Littlehampton and many other destinations.



If you’re not planning to travel that far afield during your stay, you’ll find a good choice of London’s iconic red buses stop near the apartment, and plenty of black cabs ply their trade in the local area. You can also order Ubers if you prefer.
Our standard check-in procedure is self-check in via key collection nearby, but If you would like someone to meet you at the home to show you in we can organise that for a £20 fee.

The stores we use are usually no longer than a 5-10 minute walk and we always try to make it as convenient as possible!
