Inside, the home is warm and inviting, with bookshelves lining the walls, vintage rustic wooden flooring throughout the living/dinning area, and a peaceful, well-lived-in atmosphere full of character. Hosting guests for over two years, this much-loved home offers an authentic stay rather than a modern showroom. Whether you're relaxing in the reading nook, cooking in the cottage-style kitchen, or watching the world go by from the window, it’s a space that invites you to slow down and feel right at home.
Located between Cambridge Heath and Bethnal Green, you're tucked into a vibrant area full of independent spirit, creative energy, and local gems. Wake up to peaceful views of the canal path, then head out for coffee at The Pavilion Café in Victoria Park, brunch at Bistrotheque, or a stroll through Broadway Market. In the evenings, catch a film at the Genesis Cinema, grab a craft pint at Mother Kelly’s, or tuck into wood-fired pizza at Sodo.
Living/Dining Area:
Bright and welcoming, the living/dining space is the heart of the home. Unwind on the comfy sofas with a good book or gather around the handcrafted wooden table for a shared meal or game night with friends. The charming, rustic wooden flooring adds to the home's character, while the canal views and cosy reading nook beneath the staircase invite you to slow down and relax. With curated books and plenty of natural light, it’s a space that feels instantly like home.
Kitchen:
Channelling the feel of a traditional country kitchen, this cheerful space features yellow walls, a farmhouse-style butler sink, and a breakfast bar for morning coffees. With a double oven, modern appliances, and ample space to cook and serve, it’s ideal whether you're preparing a quick breakfast or a leisurely dinner. Every detail is designed to make self-catering easy and enjoyable.

Fitted with a bath/shower, toilet, sink basin, and complimentary toiletries and hotel-quality towels, it provides everything needed to refresh after a day exploring the city. The mirrored cupboard also offers practical storage and vanity space.
Master Bedroom:
The epitome of comfort and relaxation, enjoy the peace and quiet of this master bedroom. Furnished with a large double bed dressed in luxurious hotel-quality linen, you're guaranteed a restful night's sleep. The highlight of the room is the floor-to-ceiling bookshelf, filled with a diverse collection of books to enjoy. Combined with tranquil canal views, it creates a wonderfully peaceful retreat.
Bedroom 2:

You'll also find a dedicated workspace with a desk and chair, making it perfect for remote working, studying, or getting ready before heading out.
With direct access to the beautiful canal path, enjoy leisurely walks to Victoria Park, Hackney, Angel, Canary Wharf, and beyond. Within walking distance of Cambridge Heath and Bethnal Green stations, the home offers excellent connections across London while providing a warm, character-filled retreat to return to. We look forward to welcoming you soon!
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property during their stay.
The Neighborhood:
Multicultural, lively, unpolished and the place to sample the Cockney meal of pie, mash and jellied eels, Bethnal Green is also home to the charming V & A Museum of Childhood and can call Brick Lane and the bloomin' marvellous Columbia Road Flower Market local.
It’s a cool, young area with great transport links and plenty to do, just to the east of Shoreditch. New developments are being built, high street shops are arriving, and it’s quickly becoming a go-to restaurant spot due to all the excellent eateries under the railway arches – but it’s still got that authentic East End character that’s becoming harder and harder to find.
For green space Victoria Park is a short walk away, where you can enjoy the pond, do a spot of summer sunbathing, or attend one of the many festivals and events that take place here during the summer and winter. Haggerston Park is also nearby and offers a fabulous green space in the city. London Fields is one of Hackney's most popular parks. It's classified as common land due to its history as a site for grazing animals and moving them to market at Smithfield. The park's large grassy spaces are surrounded by London Plane trees. The park holds a Green Flag award - an award given annually to the best green spaces in the country.
Broadway Market is a must and provides a unique kaleidoscope of tastes and cultures. You'll find independent shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes and of course stalls offering amazing fresh produce, authentic street food, the most original clothing, arts and crafts in London. Also nearby are the outlet shops in Hackney Central on Chatham Place - great for a spot of shopping!
Bethnal Green has a lovely community feel, wonderful niche markets, local parks, cheap and cheerful places to eat as well as classy restaurants. If you're a bit of a foodie, look no further. Brick Lane, (which is just around the corner) has a large flea market with stalls selling antiques, clothes, bric-a-brac and all sorts of other weird and wonderful things and is famous for selling the best Indian around! Columbia Road Flower Market is also just a short walk away. That's not to mention its proximity to the Museum of Childhood and the galleries on Vyner Street. Bethnal green has the underground and National Railway and a range of buses which mean getting around London couldn't be easier!
Getting Around:
Bethnal Green Station is served by the Central line, making travelling to Central and West London fast and easy – Oxford Circus is a 13 minute tube ride, and Notting Hill Gate takes only 21 minutes. Close to Bethnal Green Station is Cambridge Heath Station, which serves the London Overground on the Enfield and Chingford to Liverpool Street Line. It’s one of the best ways to travel further into East London, with Hackney Downs just a 5 minute journey away.
Other Things to Note:
