Well Kept Place in Good Location
Working with the host was easyâgood communication throughout the process. The house was clean, and the host accommodated our request to get in a couple of hours early. The location of the house is convenientâon several bus lines and a 10-minute walk to the Thameslink station with frequent service to London. Having a grocery store just across the street is very nice, and there are many restaurants and takeaways within a mile of the place.
Furniture is sparse: 2 futons in the reception room and a small kitchen table. Itâs suited to people who do not plan to spend a lot of time in the flat. The shower room on the ground floor is tiny. The shower is great, but the room itâs in is closet-like, with a high step to get into the shower itself.
Be sure to clarify with the host how many guests are in your party, and what the sleeping arrangements should be, as we found 1 of the 4 bedrooms locked because he assumed weâd need only 3. The nightly rate adjusts to reflect this, but if you are counting on having access to all bedrooms be sure to communicate that.
