This house is located on the Southeast side of Lake Gaston.
Nearest Boat Launch: Ferncliff has a boat launch. It's up Pretty Creek about 5 minutes by boat and about a mile by car.
Nearest Grocery: Piggly Wiggly, Littleton, NC (5 miles)
Nearest Essentials Store: Dollar General, Littleton, NC (5 miles)
Nearest Gas Station: Valero, Littleton, NC (5 miles)
Nearest Marina: Washburns (5-10 min by boat)

To get you started...
The bathrooms are stocked with courtesy soaps and shampoos designed for quick "off the shelf" use. Each bathroom has a roll of septic-friendly toilet tissue as a starter. You are encouraged to bring whatever you feel you might need beyond the courtesy items provided.

The kitchens are stocked with one roll of paper towels, one trash bag for the kitchen trashcan, trial-size dish soap, two dishwasher pods and 1 sponge. You are encouraged to bring whatever you feel you might need beyond the courtesy items provided.

* The house, like 99% of all lake homes on Lake Gaston, uses a septic system. This system is a finely balanced biological system. Please help us keep it working flawlessly by flushing ONLY toilet paper. Renters are responsible for any damage caused by misuse.

* Bow-Riders and deep draft Wake Board boats need to check their Hummingbirds to ensure adequate depth in all coves. Pontoons should have no issues and everyone is welcome to tie off at the dock with rental boats.(make sure to bring your bumpers!).

* Culverts & Bridges: Be sure to lower your bimini top when going under bridges or through culverts. Appearances can be deceiving!

Had a great labor day weekend with friends and family. Plenty of room and space for 8 adults. The kitchen was AMAZING, as well as the screened-in porch.

House is very well remodeled with lots of fun extras and nice touches (well supplied kitchen, amazing screen porch, fire pit and supply of wood, lots of room, everything new and upgraded). The boat dock was our favorite place to hang out and center for jet skis, kayaks, paddle boards, beautiful views and perfect spot for morning coffee.

Excellent family weekend

This property was absolutely amazing. Very clean and tidy with just about every amenity you could need. Beds were comfy. Ice machine, wine fridge and beer fridge were nice as well. Excellent views for sunrise, shaded in the afternoon for hanging out. We can’t wait to go back.

Beautiful lake Home

This house exceeded our expectations. From the amazing lake views, equipped dock, beautiful kitchen to prepare a meal, bar, wine fridge, screened in porch and lovely landscape. It was in a quiet residential neighborhood, which we appreciated. We can’t wait to visit again soon!

5 Stars – Perfect Weekend Getaway!

We had an absolutely perfect stay at this beautiful home. The interior and exterior were both stunning—spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed. There were 8 adults in our group for the weekend, and there was more than enough room for everyone to relax comfortably. The couch was super comfy, and all the beds were cozy and inviting.We also rented a boat from Eaton’s Ferry Marina, and docking at the house was a breeze. The water depth was just right, making the whole experience seamless and stress-free.Overall, this place exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely book again for another getaway!

Great Labor Day weekend

House of very well done and on a beauitful spot on the lake. The dock was great for hanging out and fishing. We also appreciated the two kayaks. It did look like they have not been in the house for awhile but overall is was clean.

This was by far one of the best locations in Gaston. We enjoyed our stay. House was fully stocked. Appliances were wonderful. Dock was great. Very little climbing to get to and from the dock. Plenty of yard. Just perfect for my family of 8!!!

Amazing Lake Gaston rental

Our family had a fantastic week here! The outside area was great especially the dock. The kids loved the kayaks! The rooms were spacious and there was enough kitchen equipment for us to utilize and made it possible to make meals daily. The ice maker was a huge bonus as we normally bring an extra when vacationing. The beds are new and the other furniture was very comfortable as well. We truly enjoyed our time here. We will be back!

Family lake trip

House is beautiful, but the house had been cleaned and left dormant and not checked before arrival. Door locks did not work properly and the AC in the main sleeping quarters did not work and was not fixable during our trip. Again, house was beautiful. Location was great on the lake.

Great long weekend at the lake

The house is tastefully decorated, in great condition, and well stocked. We especially appreciated the Sonos system for music and the outdoor spaces for eating, relaxing, and game-playing at night. The location on the lake is quite convenient, and the water off the dock is deep, clean, and inviting for swimming. The property manager was exceedingly accommodating - she helped us with some questions after we left and even left a tasty baked treat in the house to welcome our arrival! We would definitely stay at this property again and would recommend it to others.

Great Trip. House was perfect for our family. Wide open space perfect for everyone to hangout without being on top of one another. Was very clean and with fully stocked kitchen which was nice as we cooked every meal. Lake dock was also clean and provided plenty of shade. We had a jet ski and 21’ boat still had plenty of room to swim and fish. We spent a lot of time at night and early morning hanging out in the screened in porch. Will definitely go back and recommend to others.

Wonderful Vacation

Because of the pandemic, we wanted a place, within easy driving distance, where we would have plenty to do right on sight. This property was perfect! Beautiful home, grounds, dock, view! This property was perfect for us. The house is so roomy and well furnished, the screened porch is inviting, large, and comfortable. The views are exquisite! Even when you are inside, you feel like you're outside too. The boathouse is full of things we used for water fun! We rented a jet ski for a couple of days and that was a big hit. We prepared all of our meals at the house, and the kitchen had everything we needed and more! Thank you so much for sharing your property with us. It's a vacation we will never forget!

Hello Lake Gaston

This home was perfect for our family! We have 2 grandchildren 15m and 8m, they had so much space to walk, crawl and play without running into furniture! The screen porch was perfect for their early morning play while others slept. The kitchen was very well stocked and the appliances we’re excellent. The porch was our favorite family gathering place. The weather could not have been more perfect. We even had s’mores at the fire pit! Picture perfect vacation 😎 I would love for us to come again when it’s not a holiday week/weekend. Lake Gaston weekend

This is our second time staying at Ferncliff. It is a fabulous property and we had a wonderful visit. The home is gorgeous as well as very functional; the lakefront area is perfect for swimming and just sitting and relaxing. We will be back!!
