Le MacDaddy possÚde un site de prÚs de 2 acres situé sur le lac Gaston!

Parfaitement protĂ©gĂ© du trafic du lac principal par une grande et belle crique (Poe Creek), suffisamment grande pour y faire du ski et Ă  moins d’une minute de bateau du lac principal. Lorsque vous regardez une carte du lac Gaston, le MacDaddy est situĂ© sur le SE SE du lac, Ă  peu prĂšs au kilomĂštre 4, prĂšs de l’üle Goat.
Bonus: Situé à seulement 15 km de l'I-95 à la sortie de Roanoke Rapids, il est trÚs facilement accessible depuis les vacanciers du nord et du sud.

Lakehouse Converts

The house had everything you could want. We never left except to take the boat to dinner one night. We spent all day in the pool or lake. 3 generations, 3 kids under 7 who all want to live at MacDaddy. We hired a chef for 4 days and rented baby equipment making it a very relaxing week. MacDaddy definitely deserves its title as Top Dog !!

The house was everything as advertised, very clean, VERY spacious and well stocked. Bedrooms were large, plenty of room for everyone. Chris and Vicki were there when we arrived to give us a quick tutorial for the boat and a quick run down of the property. During our stay I had a couple questions and Chris was very responsive. The property has something for everyone, including peace and quiet. Littleton is less than 10 minutes away and had a grocery store, a liquor store, some boutiques and a really cool brewery that I would recommend. The indoor shuffle board is addicting. The welcome gift from the owners was very impressive ( you’ll have to stay there find out what the gift is.) This is a great house for 20 people to stay comfortably. Everyone loved it. I would highly recommend staying at the Mac Daddy.

Richards Family Getaway

This was the Richards Family 2025 Memorial Day Getaway! 6 generations with ages ranging from 1 to 81. The pictures did this property NO justice. It was absolutely beautiful. So many things to do for all age groups right on the property! The Richards Family will be booking this property again in 2026!

Worth every penny!

Our stay at MacDaddy was WONDERFUL! We had 2 infants all the way up to 60 year olds. My folks who are 90 were supposed to come and had to back out last minute but if they made it, they would have had a wonderful time. The elevator is key for more than just the elderly LOL. The house is very well maintained and literally has everything one would need for a large group. There were FIVE full sized refrigerators and THREE commercial icemakers. Each floor had three bedrooms (lower floor had 4 bedrooms but 1 was very small though perfect for kids) and 2.5 bathrooms. Space for everyone. Toys for every age whether inside or out. The lake itself was quiet and super calm. I am not sure if it is always that way but it was so peaceful. If you decide to rent the MacDaddy boat, be advised that no matter what your boating experience is, you MUST take an online course that is almost 8 hours long (you can do a little at a time and save your progress). It was very informative but in my opinion, much of the course simply did not apply to renting a pontoon boat for a week. Per insurance policy it is mandatory that all drivers take it. I would absolutely rent MacDaddy again when my grandbabies are a little older to enjoy more of the amenities. In my opinion, any child aged 7 who is watersafe - will not have one minute where they cannot find something to do. SO FUN!!!

Our time at MacDaddy was nothing short of perfect! Most times when looking at rentals online they done always live up to the photos but this was an exception. The amenities were worth every single penny. Thabk you to Vicki and her staff for the most amazing weekend! Hopefully we will be back in the future!

Christmas getaway

The Macdaddy and the property it sat on was Awesomely Ahhhmazing. Even though we were there in the winter, everyone had fun in the hot tub, making s’mores and videos on different parts of the property. The Christmas decorations were an added and wonderful touch.We were able to put all our gifts under the tree.We would love to come back during warm weather when permitted.J. Pendergrass

Awesome Friendsgiving!

We were a group of 4 couples, and had to pivot last-minute from our Asheville plans due to Hurricane Helene. The owners were incredibly responsive to all of our questions! The house (including the kitchen) was very well-equipped, and the pool and hot tub were pristine. There is SO MUCH TO DO in this home, even in bad weather. Thank you to the hosts for such a great stay, we very much plan to return soon!

Epic Family Reunion

WOW! What a wonderful reunion week! Our family, ages 18 to 81, starts planning our reunions at least a year in advance. We travel from California, Colorado, Texas, Virginia. Without question, the MacDaddy is our most spectacular experience! We were fortunate to have good weather the entire week. The gorgeous home, the beautiful grounds, the amenities, the amazing number of ‘toys” both in the home, on the grounds, in the water
WOW! Certainly all this is attributable to the owners of the home. Their attention to every detail of the entire property made out experience very memorable. Some family experiences: Rides on the pontoon boat were fantastic! Every water toy was used throughout the week! Paddleboards, kayaks, water trampoline/slide, pool, hot tub
 Because we were at the MacDaddy while the Olympics were happening, our Auntie devised our own take on the Olympics. Using the many toys available, she created several competitions such as timed kayak race, indoor curling, etc. Replicas of the gold/silver medals were awarded. We appreciated being able to watch Olympic events on the many TV’s. The Boat House was a favorite gathering spot for many activities. Bar-b-que cooking
some dinners, a special delicious breakfast prepared/cooked by the grandkids! Yum! A sincere thank you to the owners for providing our family a beautiful place to celebrate our reunion! Your lovely home/property and so much more will be in all our 2024 reunion photos

Over the top vacation

We had the most amazing time! There was no shortage of things to do. We spent our days boating, kayaking, paddleboarding and swimming. We also enjoyed simply relaxing by the water. Whether it was reading a book on the dock, or just soaking in the sun, the lake provided a perfect spot for this. There was not one amenity that was overlooked. The house was perfect for multiple families. We can't wait to go back!

Family Reunion 2024

My family of 21, my husband and I, 6 of our 7 children, spouses and 8 grandchildren, most drove from Connecticut, drive was rough but by the end of the week everyone was asking each other if they would do the drive again, a resounding YES! This place is amazing. The house is so comfortable, beds, relaxing areas, pool, hot tub, oh and the boathouse was a favorite of mine. Everyone swam, fished, jumped off the trampoline, went on boat rides, had fires at night with s’mores and night swimming. We made some wonderful lasting memories! Our 3 yr old Grandson cried the morning we had to leave, he said “no Mommy this is my bed and home now” lol. The Holden and Chris were there to meet us and Holden stopped by mid week and took care of all our needs, he is a special find Chris! We hope to be back in 2026. We do our reunion every 2 years. Thank you for a very special week!

We have stayed at many different rental houses at many different lakes over the years and this one was by far the best!! Awesome Weekend!

We had a group of 13 adults stay here for a fun kid free weekend away! We had the best time! The property was beautiful! It was clean and well kept! The hosts and property manager were very responsive and friendly! We loved the heated pool, hot tub and the boat. Everyone had a great time and we will definitely rent this house again in the future!

Amazing Stay

MacDaddy was the MACDADDY of stays

This was a gathering of 25 family members. The range was from over 60, to under 5. The heated poolmad a balst for kids and adults, aa it was a wee chilly. The pictures are accurate and this was so useful when assign rooms to all family members. Definitely will stay again! Jb

Lake Fun

Property is in gorgeous location and hosts are super nice and responsive to house issues. There is plenty to do and they have tried to anticipate the quests needs. Outside of house could have been cleaner upon arrival . Pollen was an issue but could have been cleaned before our arrival and pool and spa had problems but they were addressed as quickly as possible. Elevator was broken and could not be fixed and presented a slight challenge to our senior family members but we managed. Holden was super nice . All in all a lovely property and great place to bring large family. Boat is definitely a plus!

Perfect Spring Break Getaway

I booked this house for my collegiate lacrosse team during spring break. We were playing 3 teams all within an hour of the house! The house fit 23 of us comfortably with activities to entertain everyone! I could not have asked for a better place to call home for 5 days. If you are looking to book for a large group, look no further!

Yoga retreat

What a great home!!

We had a wonderful time. The home is gorgeous. It was great having 3 kitchen areas and a commercial ice maker. We built a fire, swam in the heated pool, got in the hot tub, took the kayaks out and did a polar plunge into the lake over New Year’s weekend. It was wonderful to have all our family together. The owners were great, they left us an amazing welcome basket❀ I hope we can return at another time, maybe in the summer!!

So much to do!

We stayed at this amazing house over a long weekend, as a group of 17 folks, ranging from 8 to 80 years old, including a family member who was in a wheelchair (who really appreciated the elevator!). The house and grounds were clean and extremely well maintained. Through the weekend, we maximized our time doing all the things this beautiful property had to offer, including kayaking and paddle boarding on the lake, hot tub, and lots of games & activities, both indoors and outdoors. The common areas were really comfortable, and we enjoyed cooking and eating as a group, as well as staying up late to catch up with family! Each level and all the rooms were extremely comfortable and well equipped, and we were all really happy with our stay. Chris and Vicki were great hosts, right from the start, and responded immediately (within minutes) when we had minor questions. My only wish - if only we could stay longer! So it is safe to say that we're looking forward to visiting someday soon...

The MacDaddy it IS

We rented the MacDaddy for 3 days for our family Christmas gathering. We had 17 folks ranging from 7 months to 72 years of age. There were amble bedrooms and baths for all to enjoy the privacy and comfort that they wished to have. Once we arrived, we never left until check-out day, as there were so many things to do on-site. Besides the normal eating, drinking and socializing, we played bocci, shuffleboard, pool and golf. The weather was very nice for December so we were able to do enjoy kayaking, swimming, and hot tubbing as well as fires in the firepit. We cooked all meals in-house so we made use of the excellent kitchen facilities. The house is a 10 ++ and we will certainly consider having another family Christmas gathering at the MacDaddy again.
