Welcome to the charming Armstrong Cottage, a British Colonial-style home built around the original mid-1800s shot-gun style home located at the corner of the SoMa and Mansion districts of Little Rock, AR. The historic Moonshine Suite offers a quiet, well-insulated, unique and memorable living experience. The cottage is a surrounded by stunning historic homes located in the heart of the Governors Mansion and SoMa Districts of Downtown Little Rock. Keeping to the historical nature of the structure, the Moonshine Suite was thoughtfully restored, curated, and designed to enhance your stay and offer you a unique experience as you retreat into tranquility. The Moonshine Suites design was thematically inspired by the historic nature of the neighborhoods strong ties to the downtown Little Rock prohibition era speakeasy bars and pubs with a modern touch.

With keyless entry, you'll have convenience and security at your fingertips.

Situated on one floor, this 1-bedroom suite of the duplex features a cozy and comfortable layout. The large bedroom includes a queen-sized bed and lounge area. It has a dresser and a spacious built-in closet, providing ample storage space for your belongings.

The high-end bathroom boasts a restored claw foot tub/shower combo, complete with a copper rain can shower head with a Moroccan Mosaic tile wall, adding a touch of luxury to your daily routine.

The galley kitchen pays homage to the history of the Armstrong Cottage. It houses a full-sized brand new refrigerator, oven equipped with gas stovetop, top-of-the-line microwave/vent hood, and granite countertops. It has a large apron-front copper double sink with a garbage disposal. Custom cabinets provide ample storage. This fully-stocked kitchen includes cookware, utensils, and plate settings for your convenience.

The suite also features a cozy living room boasting new furniture, including: a love seat, oversized lounge chair, and a pub-style dining table which comfortably seats two, perfect for enjoying your home-cooked meals. There's a TV equipped with a Roku for you to sign in to your favorite streaming services on a 200 MBPS Wi-Fi mesh network. It's a great space to relax and unwind after a long day.

Curated lighting illuminates the space, while glamorous décor gives the suite its unique character. The original hardwood floors have been recently restored, stained, and finished. The suite has its own laundry closet with brand new, full-sized washer and dryer for your exclusive use. A tankless water-heater insures you never run out of hot water.

Outside, you'll find a shared covered front porch with furniture and ceiling fans to enjoy the fresh air and interact with friendly neighbors. The backyard has a shared concrete patio, and additional outdoor lawn and garden space.

The location of the Armstrong Cottage is ideal for medical professionals, as it is close to all hospitals. The Arkansas Children's Hospital is just a 7-minute drive away, while the UAMS Medical Center is only 9 minutes away. Additionally, the bus stop is just a few steps away, offering convenient transportation options.

Restaurants, art, entertainment, museums, and an abundance of cultural experiences are within a walk or short drive from the cottage, providing easy access to dining and shopping options. Two grocery stores and two other pharmacies are less than a mile away. Don't miss the opportunity to experience the charm and character of the Armstrong Cottage in Little Rock, AR.


GENERAL INFORMATION & HOUSE RULES

***A 1-month minimum stay is required.***

For your convenience, a groundskeeper is available to ensure the property is well-maintained.

A separate P.O. Box is required for your mail, and street parking is available.

There is a substantially thick fire wall between the two units offering peace and tranquility through sound-proofing and safety.

Room-darkening curtains hang in each room.

TVs with Roku Streaming services are available in each unit.

The units are heavily insulated, and mini splits are used in each unit to heat and cool, so please keep them between 72F and 78F to help keep utilities at a reasonable level. Controls for the mini splits are located in holsters on the walls for each room the unit is in. Please keep the holsters in their holders, as we do not want to lose these items. The mini splits need monthly servicing to maintain optimal performance, and should your stay be longer than one month, our maintenance crew will need access to the unit to service these mini splits.

The front porch has two ceiling fans that use a shared remote, and each fan is turned on and off from the switch inside the unit it sits in front of. The remote for the fans is located on the front porch in a wall-mounted caddy. Please keep the remote in its caddy.

The moonshine suite's tub faucet and over-head, in-wall rain can shower head run on two separate water lines for your convenience and use. The tub faucet also has a diverter for a hand held wand.

The cottage boasts original white oak hardwood floors that are over 150 years old. Please be careful with them as you would your great-grandparents, and do not wear shoes (ex: stilettos) or drop objects on them that could damage the wood. If something does happen (as accidents do), please notify your hosts as soon as possible, so we may have our maintenance crew address the issue promptly.

Enjoy access to your own large washer/dryer units inside a laundry closet. Please clean out the dryer's lint filter after each use.

The furnishings and accommodations are curated and inventoried with care. Please take with you at check out only what you brought with you. This helps us keep everything in place for the next guests, and you, should you return!
