## Space
The highlights of my apartment are the designer-decorated (bright and spacious) interiors and its proximity to attractions & restaurants. With a private indoor parking garage (a true rarity in the city center), you can walk to anywhere or take the historical tram that was brought in from San Francesco. Also, my apartment came with AC units(another rarity in Lisbon) in each room and an elevator to the doorstep.
The living area combines bright interior decor with lovely finishing touches to create a beautiful place to stay. The sofa bed can easily be pulled out and turn into a full-size double bed to accommodate two people. Take the weight off your feet, chill out on the sofa and make yourself at home!
In the kitchen, youâll find all the modern appliances you need to cook a delicious meal that you can serve to friends or family sat around the dining table. (But hey, there are so many restaurants like Ramiro within 1km radius)
The master bedroom has a super comfortable queen-size bed, and the second bedroom features two cozy single beds. All are with freshly equipped with hotel-quality linens. Thereâs also ample storage and wardrobe space so you can fully unpack and settle in. Black-out blinds keep the room dark so you can always get a good nightâs rest and wake up refreshed.
You can freshen up in the two well-appointed bathrooms where you can either enjoy a relaxing soak in the tub or wake up in the morning to an energizing shower. Towels and toiletries will be provided.
The property will be professionally cleaned before your stay.
** there is an elevator in the building after a long day of city exploring :)
## Access
You will have the whole place to yourself. There is also a dishwasher in the apartment that you can use. We will provide you with the products needed for it, as well as basic supplies for cooking and shower. The whole place is available.
Double windows can isolate you away from the bustling noise in Lisboa but you may occasionally hear noise from neighbouring apartments.
## Interaction
My friends at Hostmaker are looking after my home while I am away; they are a short-lets management service team who know Lisbon like the back of their hand! I trust them to look after you and give you a warm welcome! If you have any questions about your stay, please get in touch through the channel platform.
## Neighborhood
The cityâs old Moorish area has been a neighborhood of immigrants since the 12th century, with a rich history of music, art, and unique architecture. Recent investment and a re-appreciation for the underground culture of this previously deprived area has led to a trendy hipster movement taking root. Sometimes referred to as the Shoreditch or Brooklyn of Lisbon, Mouraria is earning itself a reputation as a cool cultural hotspot in one of the oldest parts of the city. Over the summer months, every Friday and Saturday there are free, high-quality outdoor fado concerts sponsored by the municipality, that pay homage to the musical history of the neighborhood where fado is said to originate from. You can enjoy just chilling out in the open green space at the Jardim da Cerca da Graça, where youâll find a food and drink kiosk, a picnic area and three west-facing viewing spots from which to see the sunset. For a unique shopping opportunity, head to Cortiço & Netos where you can browse thousands of traditional Portuguese patterned tiles, including many rare and discontinued styles.
When it comes to places to eat, Mouraria is filled with amazing low-key restaurants serving fresh, delicious food. Santo AndrĂ© has a shabby chic look to it that means it could easily be mistaken for someoneâs back-yard. The restaurant actually sits on the famous Number 28 tram route and serves mouth-watering fresh fish and meat dishes. Honoring the neighborhoods immigrant history, one of the best restaurants to enjoy non-Portuguese cuisine is Shilabo's, where you can tuck into delicious Angolan dishes including stews and grilled fish. ZĂ© da Mouraria is one of the most renowned Portuguese restaurants in the area, with oven-roasted duck rice the in-house specialty. For an evening drink, head to Topo which sits on the top floor of Centro Commercial and is a great spot to enjoy a cool cocktail with a view. A bar that really espouses the spirit of the area is Renovar a Mouraria. Locals will gather outside this unique bar, underneath colorful bunting and play Brazilian and North African music. Whatâs more, all profits are put back into the local community.
## Transit
You know, you are at the center of the city. Why don't you put on your best walking shoes, parked your car in my private garage, and walked on the cobble roads that generations have walked before you, showering yourself in the rich and melancholy history of Portgual. If you indulged yourself too much drinks, Uber is a safe and quick way to get around. Fair is around 10 eurs intra-city. By the way, you should not miss the famous Lisbon tram if you are here. Use the tram 28 or the metro from either Intendente or Martim Moniz stop to quickly get around the city.
## Notes
-The flat meant for 6 people. No additional guests allowed. 2 guests per bedrooms, and there is a double sofa bed in the living room for 2.
-Although most homes in Portugal donât have central heating, this apartment provides AC in every room to either heat up or cool down. But please turn them off when you leave the apartment
-Electricity: It is fairly common in Lisbon for the electricity to trip if more than two high wattage electrical appliances are being used at the same time. Please keep this in mind when using appliances like heaters, washing machines, hairdryers, kettles, toasters, fans, etc. Guests will be charged âŹ40 if the electricity trips due to overuse.
-Check-in and keys: please note there will be a âŹ25 fee for check-ins before 8 am and after 10 pm, and guests will be charged âŹ40 for lost keys or lockouts.
-Please note the water heater has limited capacity. Once the hot water runs out, it will take some time for the water to warm up.
-Please be eco-friendly and turn off all the lights and electrical appliances (such as heaters and fans) when you leave the apartment
