The space

Step into a beachfront escape. Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort is an upscale, family-friendly resort near Lydgate Beach, escape to the beauty of Kauai and find your home in paradise. Located in Lihue, this resort is a great place to bask in the sun with a beachfront location and beach massages. If you’re an early riser or if you’re on jet lag, make sure to take a 3-minute walk to catch the incredible sunrise at Nukolii Beach. Treat yourself to reflexology, a body wrap, or a Thai massage at the onsite spa. At the 3 on-site restaurants and 2 bars, enjoy lunch, dinner, and a poolside location. The property also has a Starbucks coffee shop/cafe, a gift shop, concierge desk, and 24 hours front desk. Free in-room WiFi is available to all guests.

Note: We are the Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort, which is separate from the Kauai Beach Villas. The Kauai Beach Villas by Wyndham, located in the condominium complex next door, are facing structural issues with the building and are scheduled to cease operations in 2026. It has a similar name, but we are separate entities.

Guest access

We cater to travelers who prefer to skip cooking and cleaning, allowing them to spend more time vacationing and taking advantage of resort amenities. Guests can utilize all the self-service amenities, including the gym and pool. Additionally, you have the option to use the surcharge activities, including the spa, restaurants, and bars, or book a tour (such as a helicopter tour) through the concierge desk. However, we are not part of the hosted classes like the koi feeding class or yoga classes. In addition, there is no daily turn-down service.

Indoor and outdoor seating is available, including a fire pit on the patio. Featuring live music nightly (schedule subject to change).

Resort renovations:

The resort periodically undertakes renovation projects aimed at significantly enhancing our guest experience. The lobby bar, one of the restaurants, the cultural center, the fitness center, and the meeting spaces are all scheduled to be completed in April or May 2026. Additionally, a new lounge is set to open in August 2026. The resort is diligently working to minimize any disruption to our valued guests while these important upgrades are in progress. Our unit is in a different building from the main lobby, where the renovation work is currently taking place.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as the resort works to transform itself to provide guests with the best possible experience, and we look forward to presenting a fully refreshed and upgraded resort. Furthermore, most units at the resort anticipate an increase in nightly rates following the completion of renovations. The rates have been temporarily reduced to accommodate the renovation process.
