It’s tucked away in an upscale neighborhood yet very quiet and peaceful. There are running trails in walking distance. The views of the lake are breath taking from every room! By boat this property is close to a popular beach, called Sandy Beach.

The lake house is located in a quiet, upscale, and safe neighborhood with a lovely view of the lake and the many birds on the lake, even in winter. The house is extremely comfortable, with two kitchens, laundry facilities on all 3 floors, easy to use heating and A/C controls on each floor, and comfortable beds and bedrooms. The kitchens were well-stocked with pans, implements, coffeemakers (one Keurig and one drip), and large refrigerators. There was a well-equipped play area for young children and a movie theater for all ages. The house was a perfect fit for our extended family and we had a delightful stay.

We had a wonderful experience staying at Fancy Lake. Jennifer, our host, reached out before, during and after our stay to make sure everything was perfect. The home is spacious, beautiful and comfortable. The space lends itself to gathering or finding a quiet space to read or study (two of our children are still in college). We enjoyed watching football in the movie theater and fishing off the dock. We would definitely recommend Fancy Lake and stay there again.

Beautiful home in a beautiful setting!! This was the perfect place for our family to stay during our son’s wedding week. The beds were all comfy with good pillows. The master bath is to die for! The back yard is a great place for corn hole, enjoying the fire pit, or just enjoying the view from the balcony while having your morning coffee. The two kitchens are well stocked with everything needed for meal prep and service. The host is amazing, and prompt to answer any questions. Overall, a delightful week!

Staying at this beautiful lake house was fantastic! The home was spotless, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and we loved the space. There were four couples and the home was large enough for us to enjoy our privacy and our group times together. The home is well-stocked with so many items a family may need that isn't typically available as a guest. The check-in was smooth and easy. Jennifer was an outstanding host! She provided helpful local tips, and made us feel very welcome. The Host's communication throughout our weekend stay was great. She monitored the home well and was concerned about our comfort. Perfect for multiple families with kids

We stayed at this house for a long weekend with two other families for a baseball tournament in Irmo. We all have kids between 2-7 years old. It was so much fun and the best part of our trip. The house is stunning, has everything you need and more. The kids loved the movie theatre room, the beach and going kayaking. The host was wonderful and very accommodating and communicative. Kitchen and bathrooms well stocked. The views were spectacular. Highly recommend!

Memorial Day Weekend Lake Trip

The trip was great, we were in town for a wedding shower but had a full day of lounging by the lake, playing cornhole, and swimming. The house was incredibly clean, and had everything we could think of. Absolutely beautiful property!!

Great Golf trip to the Columbia Area

Our stay was fantastic! There were 6 of us in the house. We each had our own sleeping area with a great livingroom gathering space to spend time together. The house is spacious, clean and bright with a great view of the lake. The little extras like the coffee and the greeting we got when we entered the house, a sign welcoming us. It felt very personalized, warm and welcoming. Our hostess was so helpful with restaurant recommendations we all loved. Checking in was a breeze as well as checking out. She made everything easy! Awesome week for our group. We all agreed that our expectations were exceeded! Thank you Jennifer!!!!

Wonderful stay at Lake Murray lake house

My wife and I and our two children and their spouses and children stayed at the Lake House for 4 nights. This was the finest VRBO experience we have had (we've stayed at several other VRBO houses in the past). The house was beautiful and tastefully and completely furnished. The overall impression was that the host had carefully thought about what her guests would need for comfort and had acted on those thoughtful considerations. There were two kitchens, both furnished with the utensils, pans, dishwater, and silverware that you would have in your own kitchen. The kitchenware was all of high quality. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of bedding and towels available. The children's room also had nice toys and the house came with games and equipment to keep children busy (and the theater room was great for the kids, also). The neighborhood was very quiet and the views of the lake were beautiful. This was an excellent choice for us and I would highly recommend it.

Relaxing Retreat

We were there for a weekend baseball tournament and the house the perfect place to come back to and relax in the evenings. All bases were covered to make it a great stay. Host was very responsive and great to work with. Would love to come back in the summer when we have time to enjoy the lake more and will recommend to anyone staying in or near Lexington!

Beautiful Lake Murray Retreat

My family and I recently had the opportunity to stay at this beautiful home for a three-day weekend when our grandson got married! The visit was outstanding. The home is extremely well-cared for and offered everything we could have asked for: 1. The property manager/owner was extremely communicative and available via text during our entire stay. 2. The home was beautifully decorated and well-appointed. Everything was there for us! 3. All 4.5 bathrooms looked like they could have been in “HOUSE BEAUTIFUL “ magazine and offered high-end soaps and and more than ample fluffy towels. 4. The kitchens were well-equipped and stocked with coffee, tea, cream, and sugar - more than enough for our three-day stay. The serene setting right on Lake Murray offered not only a spectacular vista, but also a lovely beach and boat dock. Everything was OUTSTANDING!

Relaxing, beautiful and comfortable

We had a family vacation trip with ages 20-85. The house was very clean and comfortable (there are lots of stairs which may be tricky for an older adult, but we were able to manage throughout the week). The location is fabulous with Sandy Beach close by, a couple of restaurant options we were able to boat to. We loved tubing and just floating in the lake. The house offered other fun options including kayaks, a paddleboard and plenty of floaty options.we enjoyed the movie theater and games available too. The hosts were responsive for questions- quick responses. We had a blast and the week went so quickly! We highly recommend.

The most beautiful home with amazing views!

The pictures only show a fraction of the beauty of this home. The house offers everything from space for everyone to gather together or places for everyone to have alone time. We enjoyed watching movies in the theatre, eating meals together prepared in the gourmet kitchen and just taking in the gorgeous lake views. The neighborhood is quaint and everyone we saw while taking walks were so friendly. Jennifer was so quick to respond with any questions and concerns. We can’t wait to come back to this beautifully appointed home. Thank you for helping to create memories for our family.

Lexington Wedding

Our son and now his new Wife have lived together in Lexington for 3 years and decided to get married.They talked about how beautiful Lake Murray was. We checked it out in May 2023 and they were right. We looked at multiple houses to rent instead of a hotel and this one stood out. Beautiful home with great amenities on the lake with great views.

Amazingly Family Lake Vacation

We rented a few houses on the lake for a family weekend. This home was super warm, cozy and inviting. Clean and decorated nicely. The beds were very comfortable and it was nice to have laundry machines on each level. Also a very relaxing view of the lake. Look forward to the next trip. Great communication as well.
