The Space
Perched on a private hilltop in the rolling countryside of Columbiana County, the Ember Cabin is a one-of-a-kind barn-style retreat where intentional design meets wide-open farmland. From the moment you arrive — warm light spilling from the covered porch, pasture views stretching in every direction, a weathervane silhouetted against the sky — you`ll understand that this place is something different.
Every inch of the Ember Cabin has been designed with purpose. Raw materials meet refined finishes. Farm country meets boutique hospitality. And at every turn, there`s something that makes you stop and say — they thought of everything.

The Kitchen
The kitchen is fully equipped and genuinely beautiful. A hammered copper farmhouse sink sits beneath a double window framing a live painting of rolling green pasture. The marble waterfall island seats two and anchors the space, while open wood shelving with under-lighting, a Ninja coffee maker, toaster oven, induction cooktop, and full knife set make cooking here an actual pleasure. And yes — the botanical print refrigerator is exactly as memorable as it looks in the photos.

The Fireside Nook
At the heart of the main floor is the Fireside Nook — the soul of the Ember Cabin. A custom convertible velvet sofa that transforms from a deep-cushioned couch, to a full lounger, to a queen sleeping bed complete with a premium mattress topper for extra comfort. Positioned directly in front of a wood-burning fireplace with a glass viewing door, this is the space where evenings slow down and nothing else needs to happen. Whether you`re curled up with a book from the curated shelves, watching the flames, or drifting off to sleep to the sound of a crackling fire in the heart of the Ohio countryside — the Fireside Nook delivers.

The Bathroom
The bathroom earns its own paragraph. Floor-to-ceiling deep green glazed tile lines the walk-in shower, crowned by a ceiling-mounted matte black rain showerhead and handheld wand. Black-and-white checkerboard marble tile floors, a backlit LED vanity mirror, a hammered copper vessel sink on a marble countertop, and a matte black statement toilet complete the space. It`s spa-level design in the middle of farm country. In-unit stacked washer and dryer are included for longer stays.

The Phoenix Sky Loft
Head upstairs and the experience shifts completely.
Three custom XL twin platform beds are tucked under the roofline, each framed in warm burl wood with individual privacy curtains, built-in LED ambient lighting, and under-bed drawer storage. Two rust-colored Togo-style lounge chairs anchor the open loft floor alongside a built-in desk workspace — ideal for guests who need to stay connected without sacrificing comfort.
But the Phoenix Sky Loft isn`t just a place to sleep — it`s an experience.
Pull down the 100` motorized cinema screen, power up the 4K ultra short throw projector, and stream Netflix or your favorite apps for a proper movie night while the Phoenix neon sign glows on the staircase railing below. Then switch on the galaxy projector and watch Saturn`s rings, spiral nebulae, and the full Milky Way sweep across the entire vaulted ceiling above you. Sink into the lounge chairs, draw your bunk curtain, and fall asleep under your own private universe.


The Outdoors
The Ember Cabin`s outdoor spaces are just as intentional as the interior.
The covered front porch with warm step lighting and wood railing is made for morning coffee and evening wind-downs. The extended deck leads to a suspended net bed — designed for stargazing, afternoon napping, or simply lying still and listening to the world. On the opposite side of the porch hangs a daybed, perfect for reading or a slow afternoon with a breeze moving through.
The outdoor entertaining area features a covered pergola with a dining table for al fresco meals, and a wood-burning fire pit that doubles as a grill with two cooking racks — built for everything from a casual hot dog roast to a proper farm-country cookout under the stars.

The Farm
Phoenix Farm Retreat is a working farm. At designated times, guests are welcome to visit the property`s Highland Cattle and Babydoll Sheep — a genuinely memorable experience, and one the kids won`t stop talking about.

Property & Privacy
The Ember Cabin is situated on a working farm property that is also home to a primary residence approximately 300 feet away, as well as additional short-term rental cabins. The Ember Cabin has been thoughtfully positioned on the property to maximize your privacy — the hilltop setting and natural separation of the land mean you`re unlikely to feel the presence of neighbors during your stay.

Sleeps: Up to 5 guests — 3 XL twin beds in the Phoenix Sky Loft + queen bed in the Fireside Nook. Groups larger than 5 are welcome to inquire; accommodations for additional guests (including small children sharing beds or outdoor sleeping in fair weather) may be available depending on group size and composition.
